 unfortunately mr abott can only down a single pint in 7 seconds, which leads me to believe he can down 2 and half in 17.5 seconds based on my math and averages.  Which I think is a good thing. While the series are mostly good...they stand well enough on their own, despite them coming off a movie. Roland used to have scripts and synopsis of his planned sequels online years ago, but has since taken them down. One was supposed to deal with Greek mythology, and then Mesopotamian, and then tie them all together by saying all our gods have been aliens. I think SG-1 did decent steps to not trample on the film or any possible sequels as well.  Personally, I find the series is why Stargate ever became so popular, never met someone that thought the movie was better. So I'm just worried he is going to nullify the series because he didn't make it. Either way Ill still watch it, I just love the series heaps so i get worried. I have always treated the movie and series as two different entities and the series did alot to keep that going. In the movie, O'Neil is serious and proper...in the series O'Neill is more likeable. Daniels wife is named Sha'uri, while in the series she is name Sha're And O'Neil son's name changes from Tyler to Charlie in SG-1. there are other differences in setting that keeps The movie and series cannon completely separate.  What made the series so good was the excellent casting. If Emmerich uses some of the series cast then I believe it will garner a much bigger $ figure in the box office. RDA is basically out however, because he really let himself go after he quit SG. Either way I am looking forward to the movie trilogy if it ever does come out. Stargate is still Stargate, I'll watch it out of nostalgia. | ||
