well the original intent of my comment was that it's not that big a deal, that people exaggerate. I'm in no way in favor of illegal immigration. I mean't harm as in immediate damage, mostly physical.

I see that they are a lot more on the negative side than on the positive.

b) c) and d) would all be solved if the path to legal credentials wasn't the fucked up bureaucratic mess it is right now.
So i ask again, would you agree we should make it easier for them to get green cards and legal residence in the country? that way they can pay taxes and live a normal life like they want to. I get the feeling you're not okay with that..

I am not. We already have a system in place, and it plays to our interests. They are only coming because they cannot crack it in their own countries, and they are only hired here because they will work for less than minimum wage, which local workers cannot compete with. Our citizens should not have to resort to breaking laws in order to work in a country they were born in.

Well the figure is clsoer to 11 million, which is still a fairly large number. Regardless only a very small fraction of these would need emergency aid because believe or not getting in a car accident or shot or any life treating situation is actually pretty damn rare. Healthcare shouldn't be so ridiculously expensive but that's another argument for another day Besides if the only issue you have with immigrants is that they don't pay taxes why aren't you okay with making it easier for them to get green cards and legal residence in the country? that way they can pay taxes and live a normal life like they want to. I'm gonna go with a wild guess and assume you're not okay with that and you just want them deported. You know damn well why they come here and that's for the social and economic and stability that can't be found where they've come from.

Try 20 - 30 million
dailysignal.com/2015/12/27/you-only-think-you-know-how-many-illegal-immigrants-live-in-the-us/

My problem is that they have
a) Broken the law by coming to this country
b) Abuse systems that are meant for citizens
c) Cause healthcare to become more expensive for the rest of us
and d) do not help us in any way.

Their reasons for coming are beside the point, just as a man's reason to steal is beside the point, what they do is wrong and has negative effects on citizens of this country, whom the government should be favoring and protecting the interests of.

Childbirth is also included under "emergency" medical care, and most illegals try having anchor babies. If that baby is premature, which among Hispanics (as most illegals coming from our southern border are) is a rate of about 9%, the treatment can cost around $300,000.

This is happening in cities close to the border, not evenly across the US, and so its economic effects are concentrated.
