He eventually suceeds, DM: "She's into anal, but not recieving" bard gets pegged. Dragon shows up. Initiate. I get a 1. Doesn't matter, dragon would've been dead before my turn because monk. Plot armor. Ship destroyed. We're on an island. Another guy decides to turn me into a 9 year old. ForWhatPurpose.png I fail save because I was forced to get a 20 to save. Pass out for a few minutes. Wake up and it seems no one noticed. Same guy now has skeleton servants. Not even for combat. Just to hoist him up because he doesn't want to walk. Why. We go deeper into the forest. Need to cross. Only one unable to cross. Get thrown face first into the dirt on the other side. Meet old orc. I check the time. 6:30 AM. Session shows no sign of stopping. Tell them I have to leave because sleep. Next day, get skype call. One party member and DM. That's where any motivation to continue was crushed. Reminded that party is all Chaotic Neutral and I'm Lawful good because Paladin. Revealed to me RIGHT THEN that I would be forced to either convince my party or kill them all at the end. Their willsaves would be too stronk. "So you just got to kill them then" They literally could roll a 7 and kill me in one hit. I have to get a 20, 19 wouldn't even scratch them. Dropped out entirely next session. Characters like Gyro is just the beginning of what is amazing about SBR, the part itself is hands down a creation of genius. It took 8 damn years to finish. Not to mention that JoJolion itself is getting to some serious shit right now, so now is the perfect time to catch up.  Dude, that new universe shit is so stupid. Araki said that he restarted the whole thing in a new universe because he didn't feel like writing a story with futuristic elements, so his natural inclination would be to destroy everything and start from scratch. #64 -

Araki didn't want to leave his comfort zone, artistically speaking, so he came up with a bullshit reason for the universe to be reset just so that he could dodge an imaginary bullet. I fail to see how the new universe lets him be more creative. To me, it allows him to be less creative. Besides, the time period shouldn't matter that much in JoJo. It never factored in that heavily in the past. As long as Araki could keep the story interesting, when it takes place doesn't matter. Hell, he could have made a flashback part to George, or just made another present day story, or just have been unspecific about the time period. He didn't have to destroy everything we as fans had come to love just to force a hard reset because he was too afraid to step outside his comfort zone, especially when he didn't have to.  I guess thats your opinion, but for me what made it perfect for myself was Emporio at the end of Stone Ocean meeting Irene just that was able to tie in the two universes so that the legacy of what the previous universe had still lived on. it was awesome, and now I look forwards to the adventures of our new Joestars | ||
