Well think of this situation and the reason it can lead to my confusion.
1- I am pretty sure we have never really talked, so I am not familiar with who you are. Chances are, we did, and I forgot
2- To simply say "boop" as a conversation started is odd, considering the above mentioned statement. It signals familiarity with each other, to which, I repeat, either do not remember, or am sure it is not present.
3- I am not doing anything specific, in case you were wondering.
