Dude, why? That was so fucking painful to listen to. I wanna say that he has aspergers but can't be sure. Definitely some form of Autism. Not to mention that he was probably bullied in high school. I can understand his persistence and yet, he isn't completely stupid and therefore should have dropped it when she said no. Thankfully, and I mean thank the fucking gods, those guys weren't being total asshats to him.

Well cheers for the citation (it was tricky to find the text, but I got there on the page)

However I'm still unconvinced. It just seems to me that the laser in my current mouse, performs more accurately than any LED optical mouse I've ever used. I also couldn't find any other citations in my 10 mins of googling..

It MIGHT be attributed to my mousepad (some razer mouse pad, I was stupid enough to pay too much for) but I don't really know for certain. I did however find out that apparently the Doppler effect is used in laser mice, which should in theory get better tracking. But no other pages citing perfect tracking like in the link you gave me.

What I will admit is that sometimes dust can get stuck inside the sensor and throw it off, but apart from that I've never had any problems regarding tracking .

I've got a RAT 7. It's comfortable as fuck, the macro software isn't a resource hogging POS like Logitech's & the tracking is superb.

Not sure what sort of issues you're having, but I love my 5.6k adjustable DPI and I certainly make the most of it.

I'm even thinking of replacing it soon with another of the same model too. This is literally the best mouse I have ever owned

What don't you like about it? (apart from it being ugly and a bitch to clean, which I'll agree on)

Also, wtf are you on about with laser tracking having issues. It's one of the best tracking methods available at the moment. I'd only buy a mouse for personal use if it has laser tracking

Laser mice do have tracking issues. They are currently just used as a marketing gimmick because lasers bring precision to mind. Although can work okay for normal use (which judging from the fact you have a gaming mice that you play games), laser mice have acceleration issues, meaning that the area that you want to move the cursor to might not necessarily be the area that it goes to. Also people think that because laser mice have a higher dpi/cpi than non laser optical mice, which makes people think that they are better. DPI is a measure of sensitivity, not precision. Currently, the only sensors that are considered "perfect" (Meaning that it has no acceleration, jitter, or other issues) are LED optical mice.

No they don't. Modern mice are known as optical mice. They can either use an LED light or a laser. That's not even considering the earlier mice, which used a ball that would turn two wheels that would track the movement. Currently, the only mouse sensors that are considered flawless are LED optical sensors, which have no acceleration, prediction or other issues.

there are several technologies; LED, optical and laser.
Not all mice are laser.

Mine works just fine, never had a problem
Except that it doesn't work on any *nix systems.
