I like the Air Force as a whole, but when I was in BMT my contracted job as computer programmer got pulled because I had a waiver saying I was misdiagnosed with depression as a kid. Just having the waiver got the job pulled, and I ended up as a crew chief. I'm not a mechanically inclined person, and I joined the Air Force hoping for a desk job. I've also been going through some medical stuff, so while it's difficult to balance my job and that, without Tricare I would have been ****** . I came across a bunch of my medical bills while moving out of the dorms and they totalled up to around $13,000. Your experience in the military will be what you make it.
