I always do this when I make a new character. Get to darkroot, get souls to upgrade a weapon to +5, kill Sif and then glitch his soul for 4 million souls to get to lvl 125. Pvp character nearly instantly done. Only need the weapons and armor which are easy with an overleveled character. I get that it's glitching but if it's for trying out new builds after you already beat the game it's no big deal.

It's pretty difficult, but basically you get the effect of the soul, while expending an Estus Flask use. So just do it by a bonfire and it's free. There's tutorials for it, works with every boss soul, and with Firekeeper souls for infinite Humanity, and homeward bones for infinite uses. With Sif's soul it takes about 18 minutes to get 4 million souls.
