You approach it as if it's a completely normal thing, when in reality it is not. You take extremely isolated incidents and present them as a blanket coverage of the entire issue, as if every transgender person is simply the product of a mis-diagnosis at birth.  #530

dblej (04/22/2013) [-] You're right and I thank you for pointing that out to me. There are many types of transexual people and while the one I listed is one of the more common ones there are others. There are tribes in lesser developed countries where girls will be raised and upon reaching puberty their hormones spurr on the development of penis and other male organs making their sex obvious. This is a natural occurrence within that specific society and they treat it very normally. Hormones have been found to play a large role in this process and certain birth control medications have been found to lead to higher rates of children that identify as the opposite sex. Typically if by age 5 or 6 if a child adamantly declares themselves to be the other sex they'll grow up to be transexual. Again these are just the ones I'm more familiar with, but I hope that does clear up the issue a bit. | ||
