| I dunno man, I'm just sick of the toxic atmosphere that gets into FJ around election season. And I'm kinda scared to think about whether or not people talking about Trump are joking about liking him. I stopped giving a shit months ago. It's the same old Giant Douche vs Turd Sandwhich as usual. At this point I only keep up with what's going on just to hear what crazy shit Trump can stir up next. The only point I was trying to make in my first comment is that there's fairly equal amounts of conservatives and liberals on this site. It's not just one or the other. Shh.... don't argue with it... | The opinion base of FJ is very more towards the right, though. Every time I see gun control or Muslim discussions or other political shit on the front page, the conservative views are almost universally thumbed up, with even slightly liberal or neutral views thumbed down or barely noticed. When did it get to this point when people just call everybody "cuck" without knowing what the fuck the word means? Well it doesn't make any sense and it makes you look like you're just using words you think sound edgy. Set an example for other users instead of being a follower of idiotic trends. | not to mention where the shootings take place, which are mainly gun free areas, or like Chicago which has the most gun related murders despite having a near complete ban on guns. Of course people target those gun free zones, not because they're gun free zones, but because those are almost always either places with masses of people (malls, movie theaters, convention centers, schools) or government facilities. Places that if you wanted to hit the most people in the shortest amount of time you'd target. People intent on that form of terrorism obviously don't intend to live through it, so even allowing guns on the premises wouldn't stop these people who were deranged. And if it's open carry it gets worse, they could get into the center of a crowd without anyone questioning it before they started. As far as Chicago having strict gun controls and a high gun related crime rate...it's a major city, that's how it works. It isn't exactly hard to drive into a city from the surrounding metro, state, or other states. On top of that it's not like there are border checks between cities and their metro areas. So yes, weapons will get in. However, it serves a purpose, if the weapons will cause red flags for police they're much more likely to investigate and find one of those criminals who would do harm. Is it the right way to handle it? I'm not one to say, but there is logic behind the idea, though logical processes don't necessarily lead to effective (or legal) solutions. This is also not to mention the massive glut of social issues Chicago faces which perpetuate the uptick in gun violence. On the whole that's not to say the United States should become a giant "gun free zone", that notion would be stupid, illegal, and entirely impossible, I'm just saying that gun free zones aren't arbitrary notions thought up by communists out to destroy freedoms. I'm also not saying they're the correct answer to the unanswerable problem of how to keep the peace. Actually, if you ask a crook if he would target a place where other people have guns, they wouldn't open fire. In fact a recent shooting happened in Chicago by an Uber driver who had a concealed carry permit open fired on a guy who was about to cause a mass shooting, there by preventing a mass shooting from taking place (and the mass shooter lived), www.businessinsider.com/uber-driver-with-concealed-handgun-prevents-mass-shooting-in-chicago-2015-4 . It's not necessarily where a lot of people are, it's where and when they can't defend themselves. I don't see the criminal's testimony, in fact there's not much information to work off of from that article regarding the shooter's intent at all. They opened fire in the middle of a street (at least that's what I got from the article, it spent less time on the incident and more on how Chicago's weapon laws have evolved) in Chicago, I'd expect there to be a lot of people. To say that they couldn't defend themselves also is incorrect in this instance because obviously they did (thanks to the actions of this individual). The inverse is thus not the case, if people can carry guns on the street it obviously didn't stop this crime before it started (though out of ignorance of the criminal or because they didn't care and intended to martyr isn't provided within the confines of the article provided). Don't get me wrong though, if you're going to open fire on a group of people you'd much rather do it in a gun free zone than a gun range if you wanted the most bang for your buck, but at the same rate, I don't really feel like I live in a first world country when to feel safe the mall has to be as armed as the gun range. Really the issue boils down to, no matter what we do the crimes will happen. Restrictions might reduce rates or stop certain instances, but it will never work as a total block (especially if there's no consistency in regulations across state or even city borders). However removing restrictions serve to also increase the likelihood that an unhinged individual may be able to carry out a plan all the easier (though success depends, you never know when there will be an Uber driver). Sadly there is no happy medium, you can't restrict or loosen regulations to a point to stop acts of mass violence or terror, just do as much as possible to stop them before they happen AND when they happen with limited impact to individual freedoms and the public's safety. | ||

Gets real hot, especially during summer. It borders Mexico. Cartel activity is a common problem for police. Living is relatively cheap. Texas has some of the higher education in the country, surprisingly.... I say that because Texas has a big population of idiots despite their education level. Well obviously Asami was just the psychologically stronger person. She didn't want help with her emotions because she didn't need help with them.
Korra was raised with the idea that she was supposed to be the guardian/savior/balancer/whatever of the world. Someone important and powerful, a role model for everyone to look up to. That she was invincible.
Then she gets totally ****** and realizes she's ******* nothing and her job can easily be done by others.
That kind of **** will easily put a huge ******* hole in your mental and emotional well-being. She had a god damn existential crisis along with ******* PTSD.
I kind of agree that Asami didn't get enough focus, but people rag on Korra for too much and just wave away all her very real (in the fictional universe) issues because she's supposed to be the avatar. That in itself was one of the problems she had to constantly deal with.
I'd also just like to add that Korra wasn't crippled because of a broken back, it was mercury poisoning which can actually cause paralysis.

The holy priestliness, heaven/hell-like realms, and dimensional beings kind of **** is a bit out of place. It conflicts with the already established lore of spirits and all that. It's simple and doesn't have that much depth, sure, but it is what it is and it worked.
Also the "one wish" thing just kind of makes it sound like a Zelda story.. With Unalaq being Ganondorf..
I mean, I don't know if you're looking for criticism from me here but.. yeah, that's my opinion on that.
Like I said, I'm not that big a fan of fanfiction.

darthblam (07/19/2015) [-] I'm sorry but I just can't take any of it seriously given the show's original setting and plot.
It all just sounds too grim.
I hate to shut you down like an ass, but I really don't have any interest anymore.
I'm sure there are others that would like or appreciate it, but it just ain't my thing.
Maybe if it were its own completely stand alone story and had nothing to do with the Avatar universe it would have some merit to me but.. yeah.
I'm just not a fanfic guy. Sorry.

But.. they did that in the show.. fairly well, I thought..
Maybe not "the entire universe" part, but at least the world. Their world and the spirit world Which really is as big the stakes need to get. Turning it into "the universe" doesn't really up the seriousness of it that much at all if the only part of that universe you know is your world. . In book 2 at least..
Book 4 was just Earth Hitler... it was cool, but not demi-god potentially destroying humanity seriousness like with Unalaq.
But anyway.. it's been a nice chat, but it's 2AM here and I'm tired as **** after watching Antman earlier. Great movie, you'll love it if you've liked any of the other previous Marvel movies.

Use the lasso tool and draw around the thing you want.
You'd probably prefer the polygonal lasso tool, which uses straight lines.
Just go around the whole thing with it, then switch to the cursor tool that can click and move things, then Ctrl+c, then Ctrl+v on a new page that should be the appropriate size.
Make sure the background is empty, which is usually checkered to show that it is. Then save it as a .png and you can open it to drop on whatever you want.

While I made it easier on myself by pretty much halving the frame rate, it still takes a while and a fair amount of patience.
This was also the first time I've done something like this.

about 10 minutes, I guess. I started as soon as you replied with the cat.
It's easy, really.
Shopping pictures, especially those with minor details, is easy peezy.
The stuff that gets a little difficult and time consuming is editing gifs and high resolution stuff..
