Damn, I was just about to say this. It could be 1425 out of 10,000 and 3,882 out of 100,000 for all the context that's given. Unless OP gives a source on these numbers, I have a feeling that these numbers very well could have been maliciously taken out of context. :\

i'm assuming they asked the same amount of women as they did men. for example, they could have asked 5k men the question and 5k women the same

So it's still manipulation of statistics by only providing the number of positive male answers.
