darkoblivion (05/04/2013) [-] i'm only referring to gen five, when i was first introduced to it i played a patched japanese rom that translated the names of everything into English. I'm guessing that the people who made the patch either did it before English Pokemon names were released or didn't put them in so i just had a bunch of Pokemon with romanized japanese name i thought were awesome, same goes for the attacks. and once i got to the american version of the game i was disappointed by some of the more minor name changes that were made. Zebstrika instead of zebraika, or flame charge instead of nitro charge. It's just one of those first exposure situations...and the fact that some gen 5 name do suck. #65

Take fallout for example, you take a slight right from the Vault and suddenly you are blowing up megaton and being abducted by a space ship. Its all interesting and fun, but its not necessary in the grand scheme of things. I prefer short anime like GuP or Deathnote, Something happens every episode to progress the main storyline, and any side story takes far back stage. | ||

darkoblivion (03/31/2012) [-] lets see from what i can recall group of friends and I and were sneaking around some sort of alien/ high tech complex that was something like a metroid prime echoes type scenery. we sneaked around and found our way into a corridor that led right into the middle of where the aliens were gathering. An ally stopped us and told us to go another way and gave us a map, warning about a weak passageway in part of the complex.
We move through the complex and wind up in this steel cage walkway surrounded by all these giant creature emitting some kind of gas that i had deemed dangerous. I had some kind of magic sword that protected me so i instructed my friends to find another way to go a left them to go complete whatever mission we were on.
After I was gone however they decided to hold their breath and attempt to follow me, nut the exit on the other end of the walkway was sealed by some kind of organic barrier. my friend get a call from our ally in the complex saying that he's found out where they are and they're in the weak passageway and in was likely going to collapse if they didn't get out.
So they quickly get out of the walkway and wind up outside where i rejoin the group, but the way leading away from they complex had fallen into the sea and was being rebuilt by large maintenance drones. We decide to make a run for it and as we're deetected the maintenance drone drop the portion of the walkway they have and come after us.

So me having the sword that kinda protects me i got after the drones and then wind up on a portion of the walkway with its own supports and these boxes there open up into attack drones so i destroy them too. and basically my dream degrades into me taking a broken drone and using it to destroy all the attack drone i come across by smashing them as they open up. i think at some point i became a giant because this huge dome thing rises out of the sea and i end up destroying it by pummeling it with big drones.
