 But, he's whatever the fuck he wants to be. They all are, if he's a crystal gem. They literally have no gender.  The gems dont have set genders but steven do, or am i wrong?  There are a bunch of fangirls/fanboys who want them to be genderless because bla bla "gender binary sux" bla bla, but they do have genders do they? i thought they were rocks choosing to have a female apperance Well they refer to each-other as she/her sometimes, so yeah, pretty sure yeah, and we have never seen a male formed gem in the show so you are probably right Yeh. But for all intents and purposes, they are treated and referred to as women. Rebecca Sugar, the creator, stated that all of the gems were genderless, aside from Steven, a male gem.  I'd just figured the gems were female by default but Steven was a guy cos his dad affected it or something #65 -

 at risk of spoiler, when i got to it im almost cried at that scene. was so heart felt. pain? that scene was amazing and i loved it, really showed the emotional connection between mother and daughter  Lucina's pain, you were forcing her to choose between her father and her mother. ohhh, yer i loved and hated that scene. i just wanted to crawl into the game and hug my poor baby girl. | ||
