anon (11/29/2015) [-] American McGee published the "Alice" games, the first titled "American McGee's Alice", second being "Alice: Madness Returns". The games are centered around a very dark interpretation of the traditional Alice in Wonderland story, where Alice's fantasies become twisted after traumatic events, and you wading through a corrupted wonderland as Alice in order to help her work through her shit. Kind of edgy, gameplay was ok, story was ok, I think his concepts were spot on though.  "A gerund is a noun made from a verb by adding "-ing." The gerund form of the verb "read" is "reading." You can use a gerund as the subject, the complement, or the object of a sentence." Huh. Learn something new everyday. A lot of times people will say things like "he's going to watch me running the race tomorrow". In that sentence, the object is not 'me', but rather 'running'. In order to modify a gerund with another noun, you have to use the genitive form of that noun (making it an adjective eg "he's going to watch my running the race tomorrow").  American McGee is responsible for the American McGee's Alice games The gory and dark alice in wonderland games, of which there are currently 2 I think The games are cool in ways but also edgy to the outright max eh the way they presented it and some of the details in the 'real' half were I mean it was done in a good way but edge is still edge | ||

 It's not terrible but people are acting like it's the best shot ever due to the novelty of it being about ponies. I've only seen clips of Steven Universe and they looked pretty bad but I won't judge until I see a full episode. But Undertale had my favorite video game story ever. #97 -
gimmyjibbs (11/29/2015) [-]  TL;DR - Undertale fandom went to shit, fast. But having a bias toward the game doesn't make it any more right when cracking down on someone else's fandom.  Don't think its quite that bad yet but it will be soon except the Undertale/FNaF crossover death threats The game is still quite fresh after all. Most people who liked it wont be part of the obsessive fandom once they find it. If you really did enjoy the game you shouldn't let other stop you from that. I used to be into MLP and the fans went crazy before I got bored with the show. I just stopped interacting with the fans, lost nothing.  It's tough to like something when everyone else frowns upon it is all, especially when the fandom is slowly ruining its chance of preventing that. When the overhype corrupts the minds of people new to the game, who can we introduce it to without being falsely accused of taking part of the shitposting? I'm not saying the entire fandom is shit, just pointing out the noticeable part of it is autistic. Having the autistic portion of any fandom become its "representative" isn't good for anyone. I'd like to agree with you on self enjoyment, but I also enjoy speaking to someone else about it without the fear of a cringe-fest. I know what you mean. It became a bandwagon to people who only heard about it through sites like this and hype has done its damage. I think most people who think they'd like it have already played it though. And I honestly don't think the fandom will last too long, FNaF kept going because it has new installments every few months, Undertale most likely wont get a sequel. They'll still like it but get bored with it, move on and become furries or move onto the next to latch onto. | ||
