If we didn't have rules of engagement to protect civilians and just went total war on their asses we would destroy them in minutes.

You need to simmer a bit, you realize all I was doing was stating facts (things that were true the last time I read about them) and I even said in my first comment that I openly accepted counter arguments.

Also, I was refering to my life (I'm a christian) when i said your churches are more corrupt, as a reason for why I wouldnt live in the US. If you don't go to church, that isnt a issue for you.
And furthermore, your doctors get paid more because they are privatized and can charge rediculous sums of money to earn more. More money= better research available. Even further, your healthcare system is terrible for anyone that isnt upper/upper-middle class. And tons of families go bankrupt all the time from medical bills which is proven from the numerous organizations in the US who's goal is to donate money to save families from that.

Slow down there friendo, your insecurities are showing. First off, saying "Americans are paid more" is a super general statement, wanna back it up with some specifics?
Secondly, They are called snowbirds. Rich people that want the warmth of your south and they want to be in a country where they arent taxed more to accommodate the poor.
Thirdly, Rich canadians only go to America for healthcare if they want to skip the line, and are willing to pay an arm and a leg for it, which most people don't do because its stupidly expensive in the US.
And finally, I'm quite happy in Canada where (as i mentioned) the crimerates are lower, the healthcare is better, and I dont have to deal with the corruption in a lot of your churches (feel free to ask for clarification on that last point)

A) When was that chart produced?
B) The USA is beaten by what appears to be almost half the countries on that list
C) A country can be "rich" but still have huge debts, like america does
D) Why did you post this twice on 2 separate comments of mine, one (this one) without a comment attatched?
E) This chart still doesnt counter anything I said except for... (see f)
F) The third world country thing, if you read the rest of the thread, was an exageration to make a joke, considering the first guy and me were making jokes
G) Just going for facts, sorry if I come off as rude, and feel free to add counter points, and finally, sorry if I don't respond til morning, it's late here
#75 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
The USA is beaten in median household income by only 3 countries. Not by half of them. And we have a much larger population than those countries.

Canada sucks and nobody likes your country.
User avatar
#77 - syphilkiss (02/09/2016) [-]
My bad, I read the list wrong and didn't realize that those were'nt mostly other countries at the bottom, they were different US states.

However, that is no reason to be rude. And to your population comment, see #76
Please try to be more civilized in the future ;)

So from what I read (correct me if I'm wrong) that chart is from 2007, which is a bit outdatted, being created from 9 year old data. Also, The US has A large sum of billionaires, which puts up their average by quite a bit. A lot of countries with a decent tax system so that most people are the average look poorer than the US because the US income range is a lot larger, with really large 'highs' to counter the average being low.
#38 is an example of this in the health system
#80 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
Canadians die from curable diseases while waiting on hospital beds.

Meanwhile in the US

Again, see #38 for why the USA has that technology.
And Canada has large lines because we try to help everyone, not just the finacially stable. Is it wrong we dont let out poor die instead of TRYING to get them help?
Furthermore, there are privatized healthcare companies in Canada if you wanna pay to skip the line-up and you're rich
#86 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
Yes. You /try/ to help everyone and let them die instead.

We charge money and save more lives while creating new cures and medicine.

Trying to save people isn't noble when the system is proven to not work.

Capitalism saves people.
User avatar
#95 - syphilkiss (02/09/2016) [-]
the US saves more people than canada because it has more people. It also lets more people die. Percentage wise, Canada does way more for its citizens than the US healthwise. There have been documentaries on how its cheaper to fly to and from spain and get a a broken leg fixed in spain than to get it fixed in the US. That doesn't sound effective
#99 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
There haven't been "studies" on it. It was one trash liberal who wrote an article.

America has the BEST health care in the world and everyone comes here to get healed when their home countries can't figure it out.

And no, we don't let more people die. Charities and Tax laws absorb the cost of poor people who can't afford healthcare. No one is refused admittance to the ER. We just don't have state funded sex changes because that would be retarded.
User avatar
#102 - syphilkiss (02/09/2016) [-]
Its not the injury that kills the people, its the fact that after they are healed, they are put in insurmountable debt that bankrupts them and add another homeless family to your streets. congratulations "best healthcare"
#106 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
When you go bankrupt you get to keep your house and automobile.

There are different kinds of bankruptcy, but generally they erase your debt while leaving a bad mark on your credit history for 7 years so that banks know you aren't safe to loan money to. People who go bankrupt almost never go homeless. Most homeless people are just drug addicts.
#78 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
You're wrong. It's from 2015. Another one was done in 2007.

MEDIAN household income. Billionaires don't skew that. You're proving the Canadian education system to be terrible too. Almost as bad as your health care.

the thread ran out of room so I'm replying here.

You clearly are too stubborn to admit the faults of your country, so I will not continue to waste my time arguing with a wall. It's sad to think that you couldn't just have a civilized argument without lashing out like a child with empty insults when you didn't get your way. I hope you can grow up and one day learn to have a conversation like an adult. Best wishes.

#109 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
Oh look, capitalism doing a better job than socialism again.

/Good+guy+mason/funny-pictures/5826296/

See, we have some much money in this country that we just willingly give it away to complete strangers.

And we couldn't have a conversation because you are an idiot who doesn't know how to read statistics. I literally can't teach you that here and now. Besides, you let your emotion cloud your judgement.
User avatar
#81 - syphilkiss (02/09/2016) [-]
My bad, I misread the article. Thak you for correcting me.
However, if you google the term 'Median' you'll notice that it is "The median is also the number that is halfway into the set." which means if the poorest person in the states has 0$ and the richest has 30 billion, half way into the set is around 15 billion, so it skews it a bit. If I got that wrong too, correct me.
However, there is no need to hate on the education system of a country for the words of 1 person. That is being arrogant and ignorant. Especially considering in the early 2000, some american schools enlarged the USA on a map to make it appear bigger than Canada, and even now, your children are being taught that you won the vietnam war.
#91 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
Have you ever even taken a stats class? You remove outliers to clean up the data. The billionaires aren't included on that list.
User avatar
#93 - syphilkiss (02/09/2016) [-]
I haven't taken a stats class, which is why I looked at the true median, not the editted median to show the average of the average. Thanks for correcting me though
User avatar
#125 - damping (02/10/2016) [-]
Do you really not understand what a median is?

Imagine there are 101 people. You arrange the people from highest income to lowest income in a line. The person directly in the middle is the median. So it is completely unaffected by the richest and the poorest.
User avatar
#126 - syphilkiss (02/10/2016) [-]
As I already explained to the other guy, I made a mistake, and he already corrected me, albeit rudely. I was forgetting that if its 1,2,2,2,2,2,2,5,6 the median is 2 because the middle number is 2.
#96 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
It's not an average of an average. But I'm not surprised that a socialist doesn't understand basic math.
User avatar
#98 - syphilkiss (02/09/2016) [-]
again, semantics. If you take away the extremes, then you are left with an average. if you find the middle of that, you have the middle, or average, of the average.
#101 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
NO!!!!!!!! That is not how outliers work.
User avatar
#103 - syphilkiss (02/09/2016) [-]

We did more than the US in WW1 (although we had no choice as we were still the british commonwealth) and in WW2 we were a huge help. Granted, the US was far more helpful than Canada in WW2, but even then, Canada has helped the US in almost every conflict they get themselves into. Read a book, friend
#97 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
BS. Canada is protected from harm simply by being next to the US. You're military is pathetic.
User avatar
#100 - syphilkiss (02/09/2016) [-]
You clearly have never touched a history book, but in the coldwar, Canada had the radar towers to check for any missiles headed for the US, and also was on high alert for a russian attack from the North. Just to protect the US in a war Canada wasnt even really involved in.

And you're right, we dont have a giant military because we arent a warbased economy like the US, we are lumber and oil mainly. That isnt a bad thing cause we dont keep picking fights with poor countries
#105 - colacp (02/09/2016) [-]
We aren't a war based economy either. We are a trade based and agriculture and raw materials based economy.

Those radar stations were 98% America and 2% Canada. Congratulations, your country's greatest achievement is being a buffer zone.

And I have never had to deal with church corruption in my life. You know why? Because I don't go to those churches or donate money to those churches.

Please respond with less stupid points this time.

And in terms of quality, US healthcare blows Canada away. All you best doctors come to work here, and the most advanced treatments are pioneered here. Canadian healthcare is only better if you are a poor leech on society. But congrats. I hope you know Canadian healthcare is actually used as an argument against universal healthcare in the US.
