I have a lot of trouble trusting the numbers for dog's bite strengths most of the time since I can never find much actual study of it, just forums where people say "X breed bites with Y force." It also seems like a difficult thing to measure accurately considering you'd need a lot of dogs to get a reliable average for a breed, they'd all have to be raised in similar ways Couldn't have a k-9 unit going against a lazy house dog and they'd all have to bite with equal levels of aggression.

While trying to find actual numbers on the breed you mentioned I couldn't find a damn thing, just random people saying it was in the mid 700s. Did find this article in psychology today that's a pretty good look on the subject www.psychologytoday.com/blog/canine-corner/201005/dog-bite-force-myths-misinterpretations-and-realities and it mentions an actual study in the journal of anatomy that attempted to find a way to predict bite strength in domestic dogs via the dimensions of their skulls, and found that, unsurprisingly, the larger the dog and wider the jaw, the stronger the bite. They didn't test kangals (nor has any other reputable source I can find) but found Mastiff's to have the strongest at 552psi. Using the same methodology and comparing the two breeds, I have a hard time believing there could be a 200psi difference between them. Not saying they couldn't be stronger, but that's a huge difference so it throws that specific statistic into question
