I don't blame you for getting angry. It's actually pretty thoughtful of you to consider how someone else would feel. Also I'd like to say that if the artist chooses not to display artwork on a certain site it's for a reason. (I have at least five sites that I frequent my work. I'll give you one guess as to where I don't post much of my work) This is a pretentious quality that many artists have (myself included) that we probably shouldn't post on certain sites for the same reason you wouldn't leave a priceless family heirloom in the literbox. And this is an error on the artists part to not see at least a little merit in every site.

And yes people will be people. It's gotten to the point where I expect such things of people to the point I'm jaded to the whole prospect of art theft. And while on the subject I actually remember something I told my friend once. An image file of his character was actually taken, renamed and posted on another site. I remember telling him, "Well if someone took it then that must mean you had a really good idea that someone liked so much that they wanted it for themselves." I take it as a compliment if someone reposts my artwork. It makes me feel like I did something great. Granted I don't condone thievery. And there is something wrong with your metaphor. Funnyjunk is not filled with artisic people. So the likelihood of this person's post being more popular than the original is highly unlikely. It's not like this artist started drawing yesterday. He/she is probably vastly more popular perhaps even has a job in this field and does stuff like this to relax.

Blah too much typing sorry for talking your ear off. Just wanted to clarify a few things.

I suppose you're right. But no publicity is bad publicity I suppose. Most artists have a way about there style that lets you know it's them so while most people won't recognize it I'm sure someone will and provide a link to the artist in the comments. But I'm getting off topic.

I do agree that this is morally bankrupt and the person who posted this isn't really interested in anything but self gratification. But while the artist isn't getting most of the praise (from here) I'm sure he/ she is far beyond needing recognition from this site.

I agree, they probably could care less, but the simple act of it aggravates me. And they get the publicity on the sites they have the original art on, in fact, most of them tell people "PLEASE DO NOT REPOST OR USE"

And so, whether or not they actually asked for them not to repost, it still is annoying seeing people who do nothing with art suddenly pop up and take the credit and praise from it. Think if you painted a mater piece and then some guy made a copy of it and stood next to it in a more well populated area, them getting all the appreciation for it. You'd probably feel like crap or angry, now wouldn't you?

well....I think the devil if he does exist, basically is mad at god and wants to corrupt people so that they go to hell and he makes the world bad
I do like mythology though
I read these books when I was little about all these Greek Myths but from Hades point of view and he was the good guy
User avatar #543 - daimondemon (05/11/2013) [-]
Hades got the short end of the stick with his brother, Zeus, and was made to rule the underworld and punish everyone banished there. He was technically a tortured soul himself and that's why he wanted Persephone, because he couldn't get much else and she was beautiful, he never was cruel though.
ANd I just like the idea of the Devil/Satan in many forms, not exactly the told Bible version of him, but all the other versions, in which he's a businessman, he at the most, is conniving or a trickster, but not evil or unbelievably cruel, but mad at god would be true, much like Hades against Zeus.
