Do you have a political party that makes up a good majority of votes, or is it really just like a bunch of different parties evenly spaced in percentage population, trying to figure out what they can agree on?
#65 - cyberkite (06/27/2015) [-]
Well we have "Folketinget" where those that got the most votes get in from each party, aruond 179 members if I remember right have to be odd, and this is before the gourvement or "regeringen", than we have what we call red and blue block, where most parties point toward a primeminister, usually it's a "venstre" or "socialdemokraterne" that will get that post, we have around 10, but only 9 got in, wich is weird since the 10th never get's in, but it has a history that is enough to get on the list most places.

Than when those 179 members get in you make a gorv that will run most of the country, where there will be supporters to the gorv, like last yeah we had Socialist, and Radikale venstre, with SF and Enighedslisten as supporters. supports won't join the gorv but will still support the gorv when it presents rules and so on to the "Folketinget" where things get elected if they go though or not

it might be a bit complicated, and most because of my dialexia and the fact I'am remembering all this

Take heart. Even with both parties making up nearly half our congress we still can't get anything important done. The gears of democracy move slow in most cases, but I suppose it's better than not moving at all

Yeaaah, I still think most parties are shit, and dosen't listen what really works, and work either out from an ideologic standpoint, or just some crazy theory to save, or make someone happy....

Most political systems do naturally trend toward a two-party system, yes. It's unfortunate, though. While I'm not sure how it is in Denmark, in the USA political gridlock is reaching new heights. Either you're fully conservative or fully liberal, with all the extremist baggage that comes along with it. Parties stop representing the people and it becomes people just representing the parties. It's treated like a game. Like a quadrennial sports event.

I Denmark we do have some freedom, like we have really liberal party for what you can get in Denmark, but they will have to have a candidate that the other parties will point at, so most govs are what we call less-numbered gorv(makes more sanse in danish) where maybe one or two parties is in the gorv, so we have better options, but it's all so hard form them to make shit done since you have 10 parties, and you need half to get shit done.

I'd believe in socialism if I believed in people, but unfortunately I just can't, too much greed

We don't actually do socialism, we do social democracies
It's socialism lite

I can hear political terms mean shit when you move country. I like the state in Denmark, you don't have to worry not able to have nothing at all.

you would be considered liberal now since modern liberalism IS socialism without the "scary name"

Modern US political labels suck ass. Doesn't help that there's only TWO of them....
#39 - cyberkite (06/27/2015) [-]
I'am with your on that, but most gouvs have been made so there really is only two candidates, in Denmark you need more than half to make a gouv, which is understandable, but it limits the things we can do
