I don't live in europe so I didn't keep up with why Britain wants to leave the EU. Why do people want to stay/leave?
#200 - anon (06/24/2016) [-]
Uncontrolled imigration from Europe. England is full and still 300k immigrants a year. Population has increase by 16m in 20 years. For a small country thats a lot.

German PM says "Hey refugees, come to our countries and take all our money!"
Because of EU law, all EU countries now have to accept shitskins
#103 - anon (06/24/2016) [-]
Wrong and stupid.

Dipshits are trying to turn muh refugees into the next Boston Massacre.

A relatively minor thing, given a dramatic name and lots of whining, boom, suddenly it's important.
#55 - anon (06/24/2016) [-]
But Germany taking in refugees was against EU law though, that was the whole problem - google the Dublin Regulation. It was meant to be that the migrants had to apply for asylum in the first EU country they entered, if not then it was assumed they were economic migrants and deported.
Germany fucked that system by saying if you make it to Germany you can apply for asylum there instead of where you land, and suddenly it was worth trying to cross the Med when you might get to live the life in Germany instead of some shanty town in Greece.

Basically they fucked up absolutely everything 'cause they wanted to be the 'good guys', then EU was left trying to sort it out.

"then EU was left trying to sort it out."
Right, and their solution was "eh, they made it here, give them a place to stay" and that's the story of how Europe was flooded.

an unelected bureaucracy that can make laws for all of europe without the permission of the people. no one knows how it works, who the leaders are, and no one can vote on any of it.

what could go wrong?
#91 - ahidgaf (06/24/2016) [-]
Wait, but I thought that EU was an "trade construct". How come it has powers to make laws?
User avatar
#93 - flnonymousseven (06/24/2016) [-]
that's a great question.

other great questions include, "why does it have a flag?", "why does it have an anthem?", "why does it regulate immigration?"
#97 - ahidgaf (06/24/2016) [-]
Well damn, I a while ago I joked that the EU might be an successful attempt to make the Third Reich... Doesn't seem like a harmless joke anymore
#101 - anon (06/24/2016) [-]
Well, someone on Funnyjunk told you so, so clearly you have all the answers now.

The OP here is a dipshit who doesn't know how to google.
#110 - ahidgaf (06/24/2016) [-]
You may also elaborate your views, I don't take any piece of information for granted, hence my username, in the end I don't give a damn.

If you would be so kind as to PM me a link with the answer to my question, you're also welcomed to do so.

Now, as for UK leaving the EU... It's bad for the UK economy, or to be precise, only the English one. I strongly believe that Scotland, Ireland,Wales will leave the UK and rejoin the EU since that is the interest of the population, leaving the final impact only on English economy.

You're one of those dipshits who's never even tried to research into how how the EU works, and because you never see its leaders on TV or on internet memes, you don't know anything about them, is that right?

Retards like you make me sad.

Anyone who can manage to open a book and read the words in it, instead of forming their world view based on memes, are perfectly able to understand it.

Have you ever put any effort into understanding the EU?
Seriously, be honest.

that is why it has to be fixed, eu is shit but uniting european countries is a good dea

"Please" er et idiom i forhold til dansk, dvs. der ikke er nogen fuldstændig og direkte oversættelse til dansk, men vi har andre ord som vi benytter under de forskellige omstændigheder man måtte bruge ordet "please" i.
User avatar
#74 - thatspanishguy (05/24/2016) [-]
So, there is or there is not a word for "please" in danish?
User avatar
#85 - phantomcancer (05/24/2016) [-]
There is not one single word for please, but there are 2 commonly used phrases, being "Be om" and "Vær venlig", translating to more or less to please and would you kindly.
#88 - vendelo (05/25/2016) [-]
Well, to be technical, there is no word for "please" in danish because "please" are used in so many situations and thus have a ton of meanings - there is, however, a danish word or phrase that can be used in each of those situations, but the fact that there is not a single word that translates all the meanings, is what makes "please" an idiom in danish

Here are a few examples:

"Can you hand me the salad, please" - "Må jeg bede om salaten?" or "Vil du (venligst) række mig salaten." (niceties are rarely used in the latter sentence)
"Please just clean your room." - "Gider du ikke godt bare rydde op".
"We can add the clause to the agreement, if that pleases you." - "Vi kan tilføje paragraffen til aftalen, hvis det behager dem."
"If you please." - "Om du vil" (Note, that "if you please" is an idiom in and of itself, but this would be one of the translations)

Not everyone will agree with me on these translations, but it is how I would say it, and the fact that people will disagree speaks to the fact that it is an idiom

speak softy but carry a big stick good quote for all you peace lovers to remember further more what happens when diplomacy fails? they are at war with us even if we wernt at war with them they want us to die because we allow women to drive and go to school because some poeple enjoy porno or speaking to women that they are not married too because women have the right to chose who they marry and not who there fathers or brother picks because we dont allow honor killings to sons and women who go against their parents wishes they say we must die peace is great but when your society is threatened by another who cannot integrate who cannot even peacefully coexist because of their ideals it comes down to a simple rule of nature survival of the fittest you can lose pace all you want id love world peace my self but when you ask for peace and they respond "peace will be when you die or you all accept our caliphate as the way" you must respond in kind

They want war. I believe it is every humans right to receive what they want.
Let the culling begin and let peace follow in its wake.
#182 - kingoflint (03/24/2016) [-]
There goes that generalizing again. As a Muslim I don't want a war. I don't know anybody that does. And believing that we all do is only going to make things worse.
#197 - vigilantej (03/24/2016) [-]
i agree with you 100% i dont want war either but when you have a group going around and beheading women because they dont want to send their sons to fight isis they must be stopped. but i do have a question for you since you dont want war if the west attack and destroyed isil and all its supporters of "isalmic jihadism" i.e taleban ect would you rise against the west and try and kill all non Muslims? if the answer is no you must try and get that point to w/e government you are in also try and get a collation of other fellow like minded Faithful Muslims to also advocate this that isil is not the "true" Islamic faith because if all the "Islamic faithful" in the west rose up and denounced isis and supported their governments in the fight this war would be over by now but by not denouncing you are allowing isis to turn this into muslims vs the west
#210 - kingoflint (03/24/2016) [-]
No, I would not rise up against the West, in fact I want terrorist groups like ISIS and the Taliban exterminated. They're a plague not only on the West but on their own countries. And there are tons of like-minded Muslims who have spoken out countless times, but no one bothers to listen.

thanks i didnt even know about these groups it makes me feel happy and honestly i wish more would listen to people like you but all i can do is keep trying and together we can over throw terrorism not as the west vs arab or Christians vs muslims or any other type of specific descriptor but as human beings standing up against oppression and a culture that refuses to let people live their lives but if it means anything you have convinced me that there as Muslims standing up against isis i just wish it would get more media attention
