Ironic how the U.S perceives the Middle East to be a violent region when almost every Middle Eastern country is currently not at war.

Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, and Qatar to name a few.

The irony of this is that the U.S has been in more wars relative to its age than any other country.

The US has not had as many wars relative to its history and England/Britain. Guess what? Powerful nations go to war.
User avatar

Britain had complete domination over the world.

The U.S has almost no colonies save for a few islands and Puerto Rico.

I can easily name powerful nations that have no where near as much war time relative to their existence.

Russia/Soviet Union

Lol at Germany. Include Prussia, and the HRE. Germany has only been peaceful since WW2.

Japan was a bunch of Feudal states, they were always at war, and when they finally unified they invade China.

France was just as big of a war monger as England. The Hundred Year War, the Hapsburgs, the American Revolution, the Vietnam War, Napoleon ring any bells?

Dumb as a rock.

And thanks to a few of those wars, we're not speaking Japanese or German right now.

Yeah, you sound like Germany and Japan were 100% the antagonist nations.

History is written by the victors. As such, there are plenty of things the the U.S did that made Japan and Germany pissed off.

Sure enough, sanctions agains the Japs pissed them off which in retaliation bombed pearl harbor. Don't think the Japs or the Germans wouln't have bombed the shit out of the US if they had the chance back then. Still I'm glad the allies won, because otherwise everyone that wasn't considered Aryan would most likely not be around. So yea dude, I'm sure all those things the Japs and Germans did during WWII are totally not even close to what the US has done.

Actually, I'll admit that Germany and Japan had much more blood on their hands

Japan killed like what? 30+ million Chinese?
Germany killed 6-11 million Jews, Gays, and Gypsies?

But then again, Russia was an ally and 20 something million people died by Stalin's orders.

It's also worth noting that even though Germany and Japan killed millions of people, you still can't justify the U.S's crimes.

Are you forgetting that Russia sided with the allies after Hitler attacked them? I don't think you can justify any "crimes" regardless of what country. You seem inclined to believe that the US is the only devil around here, but you are forgetting to look around. Just to cite an example, look how Venezuela is killing it's own people right now, look how Iran is doing the same thing and check out that thing in Syria still going on. Look how Russia laughs at human rights and then look at the US and tell me how evil we are.

True, Russia was an ally of Germany, but it's not how you start; it's how you finish.

I'm not trying to isolate the U.S by saying that it is a devil nation. I'm American and I'm patriotic. But there's a thing called over-patriotism (nationalism) where you're a little too proud and then all of your once valid claims become absolute trash.

Saying that the Middle East is a shithole of violence is kind of an overstatement when compared to the U.S (we may not have wars here, but out of our 235 year history, 220 years we've been fighting.)

No matter what the cause of the wars were, we always managed to get ourselves into trouble.

Probably because we're the world police for good or for worse. Our power has diminished and now we have Russia marching soldiers into other countries to claim them. How long until they start marching more soldiers into other neighborhood nations? Who is going to put up a fight against Russia? those third world countries in South America? Those in the middle east so focused on killing each other or trying to kill us infidels? Or those assholes over there in China just looking from far away while lining their pockets with cheap kids labor?

The Middle East is doing better off than us.

They're only in conflict because of us.

We trained the Taliban, we supplied al Qaeda, and we brought those corrupt governments to power.

Nearly every single political issue in the Middle East is the result of the United States and partly the Soviet Union interfering with the Middle Eastern governments during the 50s and 60s.

As a person that has personally been there, the Middle East is actually better than the U,S.

Fuck, the top 5 currencies are mostly Middle Eastern. Don't let the media give you a false image of what's true and what is not. They're obviously only going to show you the corruption, the war, and the terror because they draw in more viewers and more viewers equals more money.

Idiot. The U.S is far behind Qatar/UAE/Kuwait in almost every aspect.

Education, Economy, Unemployment, etc.

There are parts of the Middle East that are doing better than us. Stop acting so suprised and facetious about it. It just proves that we are falling behind.

#53 - damping (03/20/2014) [-]
You might be retarded,

Education. We are 18. No Muslims on the list.

Economy. Look at the MEDIAN PPP. Those oil states have a few multi-billionaires that really skew the mean. The US is 4th, once again no Muslims.

Unemployment. In third world countries beggars are reported as employed. In all developed countries the unemployment will be between 4-10%.

Boy you are stupid.
