not really. I have a friend who started that light construction stuff I told you about right out of highschool, no experience or anything, just went and talked to the boss, told him he needed work and that was it. He was roofing houses a little while after that.
For a lot of the longer term stuff or better paying jobs can require connections to get in, but you gotta cultivate that stuff. That and most people have friends and family, even slight connections should be able to be gleaned for that.
Really this whole thing is a giant what if scenario with tons of variables. Education, location, friends, family, and so much more. I just know that theres always something available if your willing to do back breaking labor. If someone who snuck into this country and can't speak English can find work, then so can you- thats always been my dads world view of it. We live in America.

Any job, and theres shifts. You know what a shift is. Trying to cut down the post here, the spoiler is what my parent did for a living. The jobs my parents had were both worked in a bar in my town (My mom was a bartender, my dad was mostly a bouncer) and then my dad worked in a parts factory. He'd go to the factory job in the morning, get off work in the afternoon, then go work at the bar until around 11 pm. then he'd come home and go to bed. My mom did a lot of part time clerical work where she could find it (She's a hard worker, had a few places she'd go and temp for as the year went on) and then she had a shift at the bar. Both of them worked long hours for my siblings and I. When my mom got her nursing license we started having more money but my mom worked a lot more, and the work nearly killed her. thats a whole different story

I'm not saying get a 9 to 5 office job, just find work, something that brings in money, construction, factory work, garbage collection, anything if it brings in money. I've had siblings who've done this. I don't know what kind of job you work (hopefully something that pays well) but theres a lot out there if your willing to work. One of the most common things that people I know get into is house cleanouts or light construction (Roofing, residing houses, stuff like that). Theres options, the point is to be making money to support your family, even if it isn't much.
