crlmsonhazard (01/01/2016) [-]   Probably correct. The only thing that would come close to Citizen Kane is Star Trek TNG. It's the only medium where I've seen every fan of every sci fi show agree that it is great. Also holds up over time consistently which is why it still gets new viewers and fans to this day. Still looks fine since they relied on acting more than special fx. Battlestar Galactica may come close, but people really seem divided on the ending. But that's probably the closest we will come to Star Trek TNG for a long while. But Citzen Kane is undeniably a masterpiece and is respected and conceded by everyone to be the best if not one of the best movies ever made. Sci Fi really doesn't have that. | ||

Thats harsh, some people work out to impress, yes but thats what motivates to improve them, they still end up being healthy or strong. Often people will start something for the sake of impressing others, then begin loving it for it's own sake. I'm simply talking about the lasting validity of certain motivations. Self motivation is the only lasting motivation. "I lift for girls" heavily suggests sole motivation.
