And you don't necessarily have to be funny. Sometimes getting a top comment is as simple as stating a popular opinion or sharing a sad personal experience (depending on the content). Knowing your audience and how they think can help a lot.

For you I wouldn't worry about it. The average FJ user is a 17-19 year old male, so you're in the clear. Nobody can really judge you based on those attributes.
