Also, you'd think FPS, when talking about velocity, would mean Feet Per Second... not Feat Per Square inch.

the case type, rim thickness and so on is really unnecessary stuff right there. also, you still didnt calculate all of it. how much velocity and mass the bullet would lose upon entering - and traveling through - the head. and so on. get a calculator, you're gonna be up a while.

Your right I will say that but In my past experience with the handgun I have shot through 8 inch trees with no problem and with a pressure of 35,000 pounds per square inch its safe to say it would.

Right, right, bash on me for what i dont know. now lets bash on YOU, have you figured out the speed of the bullet yet? the mass it carries? the mass it takes to penetrate a skull? how much mass it would lose penetrating the skull and going through the brain. and so forth? if you're throwing up "facts", im expecting you to be fully prepared to fact me up.

It only takes 33 ft pounds of energy to fracture a skull, or
approximately 398 inch pounds of energy. The .357 Magnum cartridge has a positive reputation for stopping power. The 357. cartridge puts off a velocity of about 1400-1600 fps (witch means feat per square inch not first person shooter)
Parent case .38 Special
Case type Rimmed, straight
Bullet diameter .357 in (9.1 mm)
Neck diameter .379 in (9.6 mm)
Base diameter .379 in (9.6 mm)
Rim diameter .440 in (11.2 mm)
Rim thickness .060 in (1.5 mm)
Case length 1.29 in (33 mm)
Overall length 1.59 in (40 mm)
Primer type Small pistol, magnum
Maximum pressure 35,000 psi (241 MPa) there's the specifications

I also somehow seriously doubtb you can judge what gun that is just by seeing its trigger, drum, and safety.
#858 - crissangle (01/22/2012) [-]
Also it doesn't have a safety no colt model revolver has a safety a revolvers safety is that you don't run around the the hammer pulled back.

the skull isnt exactly soft matter. its as hard as rock.and lets not talk about brain matter. it would at the very least lose its trajectory, and only injure the second person (depending on how close the shot was fired, and other variables which im sure you cant calculate right off the bat, considering you're a "red-neck".)
