er no, my ex cheated twice and he left me for the second girl. Now he constantly messages me and puts my information on 4chan pretending to be me and promising that I'll trade nudes with them. 4chan gets pissed when you don't fulfill your promises. Gender has nothing to do with crazy exes.

2 years prior when hurricane irene hit, we all heard it was gonna be a huge storm but it ended up not being bad. so when we heard about hurricane it wasnt gonna be bad either. EXCEPT when it hit, at the time was high tide and a full moon. and the meteorologists didnt mention that

People from areas where something normally doesn't happen don't know what to do to prepare.
Like if you suddenly had an earthquake would you know what to do? If it actually went below freezing, would you know how to prevent your pipes from freezing? A tornado? Hailstorm? Forest fire near your home?
#29 - TwiztidNinja (03/24/2015) [-]
yes in all those situations you get the fuck outa there, as someone who survived the black saturday bushfires i am well equipped to run the fuck away from disaters.
That shit was terrifying, imagine a 50ft wall of fire moving at 120km/h then remember it can kill you from half a kilometer away with radiant heat, the people that died thought they could fight the fire with garden hoses like morons.

earthquake you go outside, you cant even feel them when outside, hail storm you build a house with a roof capable of withstanding them, its like why be stupid and not build a good house? Hail storms are not even uncommon? we have golf sized hail quite often in australia
and tornadoes would be pretty easy to dodge, not like you cant see the super cells coming from 10 kilometers away lol.
People seem to have a stand and watch thing going on beacause they live in safe environments.. maybe it is because i grew up in the Australian bush where everything can kill you but generally speaking dangerous things should simply be avoided aye..

You live in Florida - you may think you know what to do in all those situations, but shit would hit the fan hard if any of it did happen. Yeah, you might have plans for shit like that, but the general public around you won't. You might want to waste your money on a building that protects you from environmental hazards that have never happened, but you'd be alone.
In Nashville, Tennessee, there were hundreds of car wrecks back in the February snow storms within the first day of snow.
There wasn't much snow at all.
If businesses are shut down for day/s and there are hundreds of wrecks just from a couple of inches of snow in an area that already has snow yearly, I don't see a place like Florida handling things like blizzards, hailstorms, tornadoes, etc. well at all.
You seem to overestimate the collective intelligence of the general population. Anything that is a hazard that doesn't occur normally to the area will cause chaos.

I thought hailstorms were more of a big deal, guess not. I live in Virginia in the U.S. and we probably have one of the lowest rates of any natural disasters in the world. I live in the mountains so we effectively don't have any floods, no earthquakes, tornadoes, far enough inland that hurricanes don't hit hard, never any tornadoes, and very uncommon for forest fires. Also surprisingly few landslides/mudslides.
So yeah I don't know what to do for a lot of things.

Most people thought it wasn't supposed to be a big deal. It was category 3 when it hit New England I think. Normally when a Cat. 3 hits Florida you don't hear about too much destruction (because Florida has hurricane building codes and infrastructure to deal with hurricanes) and so they probably thought it wouldn't be a big event besides rain and wind.
