Yes characters can develop, but it's another thing to drastically change her. She was written as Joker's girl and stayed as Joker's girl for years. That's like changing Batman to not being in Gotham anymore.

Being obsessed with Joker is her biggest quality. That's the whole reason she was created. It's not her only quality, but it's a staple point in what makes Harley, Harley.

I never said that was her only trait. My point is that her defining trait is that she is obsessed with Joker. They changed her biggest defining trait.

That would be getting rid of his biggest defining character trait(not talking about ice). He just wouldn't be Freeze if he wasn't obsessed with Nora. Without that obsession, he's just a generic ice villain.

The whole Injustice thing is a parallel world. You can't really use that as an example of cutting character traits. Those versions of characters were pretty much their polar opposites in terms of morality and actions. The whole plot of it was that it was bad. All of their actions are what would happen if X happened. That Superman and Luthor are only those characters by name and abilities. They lack the same defining characteristics that made the main Superman and Luthor the characters that they are.

This whole thing sounds like he's only there temporarily. I never said Batman never leaves Gotham. I meant that he is always a Gotham hero. If he leaves, it's always temporary. From my understanding of Europa, he is only there to find a cure and is constantly moving trying to find it. He doesn't transition his whole operation there. He is just there to get a cure. He didn't move there did he? It's also a mini-series and I'll bet money he'll go right back to Gotham because that's who Batman is.
