English is mostly old english and French (mostly) French obviously has gendered nouns, and old english did. About 1000 Northumberland stopped using gendered nouns for some reason, stopping fully around 1100 I think. England as a whole kept using them less and less until around 1400 when they died out completely, or so I hear.

"The chair" in Old English is se stól. It's masculine.

From what I gather (My friend is currently working on this area of semantic history) this is one of the theories as to why genders died out. When we had so many different languages with conflicting genders (I think chair is feminine in French), it became difficult to use them.

Plus, our language structure became increasingly more rigid, so they served very little real purpose.
I'm a huge nerd for this type of linguistic shite

You're wrong, PEMDAS

The two is distributed to 1 and 2 making it 6/(2+4)
or if you're smart you just add together the numbers together then distribute making it again 6/6

Equals 1

PS I hate everyone who gets this shit wrong

No, you are wrong.
Multiplication and division are done at the same level, from left to right.
Any division is the same as a multiplication with the reciprocal number:
7 / 5 = 7 * ( 1 / 5 ) = 7 * 0.2
Thus, since you can turn any division into a multiplication, and since the order of factors does not matter, multiplication or division first, does not matter. Multiplication and division are executed after exponents and roots, and before addition and subtraction.
