We have heksehyl in Norway aswell. I tried "smoking" it once. It backfired ans sent alot of soot in my mouth... Anyways, fun things to do with them:
1. Into the sewer, it makes a fun sound down there.
2. Throwing them like paper-airplanes, they go really far.

I really don't know what to do beyond to confront her directly else. Don't worry, you feel you've tried everything and you're in an unsolvable situation. Some situations are like that, there's no easy way out. You have to take the risk, else you will regret it.

Good idea, but then what do i do after?
I mean, i've only ever seen and talked to her physically for 2 hours, seems kinda dull to get a girlfriend over sms. As i wrote above, i have invited her out. whenever that may happen seems like a better time to 'take it a step further' if you may.
Oh and 'a little further ahead than just friends' includes using '<3' fairly commonly, if that's what you meant. :-/
I may be kidding myself, but she knows that i love her.

#32343 - crilleballe (10/19/2012) [-]
Now, i'm not exactly sure what the definition of "crush" is, but i love her, and i'm about 90% sure she feels the same way, considering the fact that she happily agreed to go out with me, and our text-conversations seem a little further ahead then 'just friends'.
The only problem is that when i met her in person she was visiting a friend of mine. Now, as she have traveled home, i am finding a great deal of happiness just talking to her.

Oh sorry, didn't see.. hmm. I'm not good at that myself, actually..

I think a good thing would be if you practiced thinking about what to say before, just kind of charting it, talking in a mirror, talking to people IRL by coffee machines and such.

You know, small talk in general. Weather, interests, feelings, life, universe, music, just say what's up, how you are doing, how she/he is doing.. Yeah.
#32338 - crilleballe (10/19/2012) [-]
Yeah, that's kinda what i've been told before too and it's probably all i can do. It just feels really stupid to talk about music and interests again and again, saying 'what's up' only goes once or twice a day.
But as stated below also, i've been given all i can.

Having doubts like that is a bad sign, BUT it can be turned around.

How much do you know about her? Her tastes in music, movies, whatever? If you already have her number, call her. It makes it more personal. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to ask about her day. Don't know if you do this already.

Yeah, we've talked a lot about music and movies, and we could probably talk a lot more about it. The problem is more that i know i love her, and i'm pretty damn sure she feels the same way, but i don't want it to vanish because we live far apart and can only talk over text.

A lot of people on social use skype. I recommend using it even if you don't have a webcam. You can still use the text chat option. An occasional phone call would also be cool to see how they're adjusting to a new environment.
#32223 - crilleballe (10/18/2012) [-]
Well, she's not adjusting as she lives all that way away, and have been living there since... since ever i think.
I have long conversations with her over SMS, but they always turn awkward or dry out because it's difficult to find something to talk about. I even got her to go out with me at some point, but since i have no idea when i'll meet her in person again, i'm trying to keep the conversation going. Already on third day (today) i'm starting to feel like it's going to run dry soon.

User avatar #97 - MudkipTomislav (10/18/2012) [-]
Oh wow. No. I wonder where you heard that?

Weight of an object with mass has weight that is mass * standard gravity (g). G is the gravitational constant and has to do with a bit more advanced understand of gravity.

g is on average 9.81 meters per second squared but most often people average it out to 10. So an object with a mass of 1 kilogram has the weight of 9,81 Newtons on Earth.
(a Newton is: 1N=1kg*m/(s^2), you can see why it's shortened into Newtons)
#129 - crilleballe (10/18/2012) [-]
Isn't that exactly what i said?
If g = 9.81/s^2 and 1N = kg * g then N = kg*9.81/s^2

Unless you meant that i switched G and g around. Yeah, i did that so people wouldn't confuse g with gram. My bad if there's another value defined as 'G'
User avatar #100 - MudkipTomislav (10/18/2012) [-]
understanding*
And for an interesting example the average standard gravity of the moon is 1,662 m/s^2 so a 1 kilogram mass would weigh 1,66 Newtons.

Also in case you're wondering g or standard gravity depends on the mass of Earth and your distance from its centre so that'y why g isn't the same all around the planet or why the Moon has a much smaller g.
