The S3 has a higher resolution display, and from what I can gather a better battery life (and faster chip. You can also remove the battery to change it, as well as do the same with a micro SD card so can have as much space as you need.
Previously, I've found iOS crashes far more often than Android so I doubt the new version will offer much improvement there, and I personally prefer the Android UIs I've used to iOS.
Although the 16GB models are the same price, the 32GB iPhone is $50 more than the S3 on a two year contract.

I do accept that the iPhone is better in some areas, but I think that overall the S3 is a better phone than it.
