Yeah, who knows what the future might bring? Right? As for me...Im now on my second day without sleeping...why? I had to go and do Rins route. I planned for an hour. Ended up playing all night. Rin. She is awesome. And I learned alot from her too xD So far her and Shizune are my favorites. xD

I liked rin, but there were several times where i had to go back and be like, WAit what did i just read?
I liked Rin's character, because behind the veil, you know there's such a deep, caring, awesome person. I can see why you like her and Shizune the most, both of them you have to learn to understand, and it's hard, but the reward is well worth the effort. Rin and Shizune share huge amounts of determination, Shizune with trying to rule the school without saying a word., and Rin with painting because it's something people would have said she couldn't do.

I think thats just great. Thats why I liked Shizune. She reminded me of people I know and care about alot, and Myself in some ways. it makes me feel good. :) And Good things are coming from this game too. I made a friend through it. And thats never a bad thing. I wonder what else is going to come my way. :3 Hope you get some of that good luck too.

I felt like that at first too, when Misha was translating everything. I often times found it a bit difficult to differentiate the difference between who was talking. But i think that was intended. once Hisao began Siging, I sort of automatically put whatever i thought fit in subconciously. I sort of do that on my own for things that I dont always understand, or things that arent clear. I thought everyone did that, xD. I never had a problem determining what Shizune was trying to get across, I just wish that she would half the time. Which she explained why she didn't near the end. I looked alot at the faces and body language to come to a conclusion on how she meant to sign things. Also, the context of the conversation. I was always like "Hisao watch that! You sound like an ass!" Then she'd take it okay and I'd be like "HOOOOO BOY DODGED THAT BULLET I THINK" haha. I do see what you mean though. It can take away from the story a bit. if not be a bit distracting. Though, I thought it added to it myself. I don't think the story would work without it. at least maybe not quite as well as we see it being executed now. What I think it comes down to in the end is Different strokes for different folks. I did emi's yesterday. I liked it! I really did! Though i didn't like it as much as Shizune's. Not because of writing or any real reason. I just couldn't connect as much. It wasn't a problem that I've ever been faced with. Whereas Shizune's situation, I have. Many many times. Im going to do Rin's soon. I cant wait for that one! Its gonna be interesting! And I showed that picture to another friend of mine! We DO agree on your scaling thing! It seems like some things need to be scaled a bit better. But overall, I had to look to notice. Infact. I think its...interesting. Shes a BIG person. Personality wise. Maybe thats the symbolism there. Because at the same time...In that moment. She can STILL look really really small.

I liked Emi a lot, I think that may be because I'm to an extent alot like her, as are some of the people I hang out with, outgoing, eccentric, and a little bit bizzare. Rin's is a bit of a mind fuck though, and its hard to figure out if your making the right choices, though I will tell you that it's not till the last act( I think) that your choices truely effect the end. With RIn the conversations can be hard to follow on occasion, but god man, she gave me a good many feels, prolly the hardest hitting ones came from her. I'd reccomend doing Lilly last, partly because I found her's to be very happy and more positive then the others, and also because it's the only one with an epilogue, and you get better view of what would be in store for Hisao ( and Lilly) after the story.
And have an Epic Rin, since that's your next route.

My thoughts exactly actually. Though I didn't quite share the opinion on them being weak endings. I just sort of automatically read into it a bit more than maybe was intended. On the good ending, I remember reading that Hisao's new goal for the rest of his (Though short) life, was to study to teach at that high school. and to take care of, and my Shizune smile. I sort of assumed that that meant that they were going to spend at least a bit of time together outside of school. I mean, I've been out of school now for years, and I -know- that wasn't the complete end for me. I took that as my chance to really get started with my life. And with Misha going overseas, Hisao did promise to bridge that gap between them, and help her communicate, since he knows Sign language. I don't know. Maybe I missed the part where they were indefinately going opposite directions, but even though they are all leaving, I sort of assumed that even if less often, they would see eachother. It's only natural afterall! And yeah, that bad ending not only punchec me in the heart, but I told myself I wouldn't do that one again either, rofl xD. I don't watch alot of Anime. I know nothing about it other than Dragonball, so the scaling of the drawing was admittedly lost on me. though! This game did inspire me to look some up, and I found a good one on airplanes! Looking at it though, she does look sort of big, but at the same time, her posture, and her face...Its a striking contrast to her though...It makes her look really small. I'm not used to that, and it makes me feel...really bad. How shes left all alone like that. Broke my heart xD. I might bight the bullet and try Emi's though. I've heard good things! But my favorite is set I think lol. Also. I'm not sure...But I think we just turned funnyjunk into a book club, and I regret nothing.

Dont worry, I read it all :p. With the image i put I just mean the scaling, its the only fuck up that I've seen, look at her feet compared to the steps, and her and her bag compared to the railing.
I'd defs recommend doing the other routes, but give your self a few days down time between doing different route or characters, to let the feels subside a bit, I had surgery on my leg and was stuck in bed for a week and did Rin good and bad and emi good in the span of 2 maybe 2 and a half days, fuck man, even if I coulda gone and done something, i just felt like "I could, but I is just so sad".
The other reason why I think some people might not enjoy Shizune as much is because of the whole sign language thing, it removes alot of emotion from the story, yes yours is still there, but it's much harder to pick up on hers because it can be kinda monotone due to the limits of her communication, not being able to convey emotions through sound like we can, think if you're reading a book and people are talking, you can still put emotions behind what their saying( granted that may also be because it's from a 3rd person most of the time) with Shizune, I KNEW she wasn't speaking, and because of that, I couldnt put things like sarcasm behind her speech because I knew it couldn't be there.

I totally get what you're saying. It was pretty typical in that regard. But in a way, I think thats another reason why I liked it. I saw her, and made connections to people i actually know outside of my little cave here xD. Though, noone I knew in high school admittedly. I spent too much time studying back then, and didn't really know how to talk to people without it being awkward. haha. And during that scene, Alot of stuff I was confused about hit a chord too. I think what alot of people disliked, was that not everything was quite...spoon fed to you, so they were like "So why did she do this?" or "What happens to all of them? its too open ended!" I didn't have that problem. As the story progressed , I automatically came up with my own ideas and conclusions to fill in the blanks, and it just -made sense- to me. *shrugs* Yeah. I SHOULD go back and play the other routes though. Havent worked my way up to it quite yet. Huh...I guess in a way, not only does she remind me of people I know. But I guess I can relate a bit too. But at the same time, doesn't everyone at one time or another?

On top of that I'd say Shizune would be the most attractive if she was real, and being one of only two people who can communicate with her, I felt like there was a real close connection between the two. And because of that when she opens up to you, this girl who had been such a dominating personality, admits that it's a bad thing the way she goes about dealing with people, makes it all that much more special.
The only two complaints I have about Shizune are her endings, good ending you just kinda all go your separate ways. Just like normal highscool for many people. For bad ending it's because of the fucked up image. I mean look at that shit, SHES A FUCKING GIANT.

It's basically the closest we can come to being iron man, so I'd prolly do it in an ironman suit.
