>make a glock
no, you would not be able to make that without expensive equipment to make the frame.
usually people who make their own guns go for metal frame guns like AR's, AK's, 1911's,ect. you get the idea.
just buy an M&P pistol and be happy. cause glocks actually break and blow up at a pretty high rate. www.google.com/search?q=rack+of+broken+glocks&biw=1920&bih=979&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=K7ttVLiPGrDsiQKp1YDABg&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg#tbm=isch&q=broken+glocks frames and barrels in these picture depict a real issue to consider. I can't find the article right now but I read a post by a gunsmith who also posted pictures of whole racks of broken glocks he had to send back to glock and most of the time just throw away.

True the Glock polymers are proprietary materials that you can't just go out and easily obtain. As 3D printing grows it'll become much easier for people to print their own custom polymer frames if they have the already made materials though.
Also you can google any model "broken" gun and find lots of them in the images. Many are from stress tests. Glocks function at a very acceptable rate for modern weapons and their field history speaks more to that than some gunsmith. Of course they aren't invincible but I've gone through a share and they've served well.
M&P9 is really good though. For it's own reasons. If I had more time with it I might even like it more than Glock but as of now I don't.

idk if you can buy the frames for glocks. at any rate I do not recommend glocks.
I was referring to full out building it ground up. it's the way to go for saving money. I think with an AR all you really need is a drill press (bare minimum) and who doesn't have one of those.

garage sales and especially estate sales are good place to look for a drill press. I bought a bunch of 9mm from an estate sale once. most were normal some +P, a couple +P+ and then one dud that got stuck in my barrel. lol
wish I could just get some fucking .22LR right now.

we still have assholes around here buying a lot of them up with there buddies and wifes to take them all off the shelves of walmarts before the morning is even over, then turning around and upselling them to "mom and pop" shops like the one 1/4 mile from my house. I'm not fucking paying $10 for a box of 50-100
