So you say when you take cocaine, you get powerful head?

Recovering Heroin addict here.
I experimented for a while too. Yeah heroin isn't worth it. This picture is kind of really accurate, because that's exactly it - you just want more. It completely consumes your life just because you don't want to feel ill when you run out.
But once you make your bed, you have to lie in it and take responsibility for your mistakes. I'm hoping I maintain the strength to get completely clean.
Morphine is cleaner I guess, but i've never been a fan of smoking opiate-based stuff, because once you get into that way of taking it (if you know what I mean) it's hard to come back from that.
I'd say my favourite recreational drug to take is Ecstacy. It can be strong too, but that's sometimes how you want it, rather than going back again and again for more and more hits. A pill could last me an entire night, and a Love buzz is great.
Cocaine is overrated, yup
I didn't mind Crack when I tried it, but the quality fluctuates so much it's hard to tell wether you're gonna get your money's worth. Same with normal coke, I guess
I was a late-comer to all of this stuff but once I discovered it, I got stupid and ended up where I am now.
Sucks but i'm getting pretty sick of the hard work it takes financially just to keep up with it, so yeah I intend on stopping it all eventually.

I heard opium will make you never want to return to reality. Anyway, if you do drugs that make you feel good, even though some guy recommended it to you, you're still making a huge mistake that you'll surely regret one day, and you'll wonder why you believed some loser who seemed cool at the time.

Opium-based drugs are one of the most - if not THE most - addictive drugs you can take. If you use it regularly enough, you start to feel sick, hot/cold sweats, and your entire body burns and aches if you don't take it at regular intervals - which is called withdrawal, also known as "man, you've really fucked up this time".

This is why it's classed as the Godfather of No-no things to use. However, I have seen a lot of upper-based narcotics do bigger damage, a lot more quickly to a person's physical and mental well-being. But everybody focuses on the risk of Opiates, because they are most addictive and addiction is for a lifetime if you think about it. Even when you get clean, that little voice is there forever, always waiting to jump up when temptation comes your way. If you end up like me you've basically willingly flushed your life down the toilet. But sometimes you don't see it that way until it's too late.

Thank you for sharing that. I hope you get clean and recognize that voice for what it is.

Pretty close minded attitude towards drugs
User avatar
#126 - cabbagemayhem (09/27/2015) [-]
How is that close-minded at all? Do you only consider someone open-minded if they do hard drugs? That defeats the whole purpose of not doing hard drugs.

So no i dont consider people who dont take drugs to be closeminded. You're putting words in my mouth.

No that wasnt what i said I respect that you dont consume and enjoy any harder drugs, but i dont think the "Drugs is bad and evil and if you take it you will waste your life" is good HR

I think you confuse me for someone blindly repeating someone else. I'm speaking from experience and observation. Drugs are bad, mmkay?

That's kind of the point of my argument man. I've had wonderful times under the influence but drugs CAN do bad. Like you i've had it close to me.

Leading a scare campaign aint gonna help anything when the people wanna try these things are gonna do it anyway, lets inform people instead.

An example (Although not totally the same) Is the US sexual education which used to, or still do, try to scare the young people away from sex rather than educate them properly on it.

What are you on about "scare campaign", I just told it how it is. If you find that scary, then maybe you should consider not doing it. Of course you've had "wonderful times" with drugs. That's the trap. Next, you find your options in life narrow.
#216 - gammelmand (09/28/2015) [-]
I dont know whether im not expression myself well enough or you are just terribly misunderstanding me.
It's not that i find it scary. I just think it's really obvious your way of approaching (And ALOT of other peoples way, thus what i meant with scare campaign) the subject drugs isnt helping anyone.

It's clear to me that you dont like drugs, and must've had some bad experiences associated with it. I respect that you personally dont want anything to do with it. But you cant expect everyone else to share the same opinion as you. Some people will want to try some things, and some will do it.

Are you so affected from your personal experiences that you cant see educating people on the topic rather than try to scare them away is the best harm reduction we can give?

I get the expression that you're talking sarcastic to me, talking down to me like I am the ignorant. But my man. I think YOU should try to be a little less narrow-minded.
