Blacklight retribution is like cod and battlefield if they were good, and it's free.

Their microtransaction/ needing to play dozens of games to unlock a single gun model is pretty shitty though.

Rent a gun for a day costs 200 gp. You get more than that for one game if you aren't fucking retardedly bad at it. So provided you play at least one game with a gun when you rent it you should have way more than enough to renew the rental when it expires. The micro transactions are in place to keep the game profitable, the game has some of the best microtransaction balance i have seen so far.

I said unlock, not rent. It's a game where I'd have to invest all of my time in order to get somewhere (i.e. unlocking a gun), or if I rented a gun, I'd have to fucking play to utilise the time I've rented it for otherwise it's a waste, so I'd have to play that game solidly without hiatus which isn't something I want to do.

The microtransactions in that game is literally pay to win. LoL has a much better microtransaction system.

I'm all for PC gaming, but I'm not gonna look at an average game through rose-tinted glasses and say it's awesome/good just because it happens to be on the PC.

Oh, and BF3 is a vastly superior game in my eyes. I don't agree with EA, but yeah, BF3 is still pretty damn good.

I'm going to have to disagree with you about BF3 being a "good" or "superior" game. Now I understand you like it but the game is far from actually being decent. There's too many bugs or net-code problems right now to actually be a proper FPS. Not to mention DICE's ingenious plan of adding suppression in a manner in which it's not tactical, it's just there for a crutch to help newbies. I really hope they fix the thing up before Armored Kill or it's just going to be the same bull crap every game on bigger maps.

I did say in my eyes, and I realise the suppression isn't a fantastic feature (as it is now far too potent), but no game is perfect.

But you get enough points to rent a gun in 1 game. Within 5 games of when i started playing i was getting top player in most matches.
You have the same problem as a lot of the internet. You don't understand the difference between pay to win and pay for convenience. Since you can have the same equipment as someone who has been paying after you have played for 1 game, that is not pay to win. They have no real advantage.

Again i have to say, if you use a rented gun even once you will have enough gp to rent a new one/renew it. It's pretty much the same as owning it. But if you need to OWN it then you can grind the gp over time, or buy it. Either way you can use the gun of your choice for free, and have no disadvantage over paying customers.
It is pay for convenience not pay to win.

As for LoL, my main problem with it's system is that ip takes so long to get, compared to how cheap rp is. It could take me about 2 or 3 weeks to get a champ for 6300 ip, but it would be pretty cheap in real life money.
Also the skins, they cost too much rp compared to actual champions, i don't feel they are worth the price
