I had considered that option, but if it was for easier access to weapons, they'd probably be better off just holding the weapon they want to use or keeping their hands near the pockets. Trying to bring your arms in from that running position is pretty awkward.
#66 - Why do the ninjas in Naruto run like that?  [+] (12 new replies) 04/15/2014 on Nuhroodo 0
#108 - anonymous (04/15/2014) [-]
Welll i guess ill step in. If you are neither fat, nor clumsy, this is usefull. You dont just put your arms back and stand straight up while you run, like Ed. The trick is to lean forward, a lot. Your arms are a bit of weight behind you, so that when you lean way forward, you dont fall and bust your nose on the ground. I done this in many serious situations, ie pretty much every time ive run from the cops, theyve never caught me.
It makes sense though, youre leaning all of your body weight over your legs, which FORCES you to move your legs faster than you normally could to avoid faceplanting. Arms are just added balance in that
#131 - anonymous (04/15/2014) [-]
I can just imagine the bull shit that goes through your head... it makes me laugh. First, you've probably never even come close to a run in with the cops... I mean seriously, the most heinous crime you've even committed was being born so damn ugly. Second, I laugh because whenever I think of this situation, I think of someone (mainly your fat ass) hearing police sirens in the distance, the camera zooms in and shows the person thinking to them self "I must escape quickly... I shall use my 'ninja' training and become one with the wind! Hurushima!" of some shit like that. Then they kneel and place one fist to the ground, then they take off with their arms behind their back like some type of fucking faggot ass naruto nerd (Mainly you), with stars and wind, etc passing by them super quickly. Then the cops come around the corner behind him and slams into a tree before climbing out and shooting at him, then the faggot pulls some matrix shit, and the cops starts screaming "your a faggot!!!!"

User avatar #76 - leonhardt (04/15/2014) [-]
Apparently they have no need for body physics since they run super fast by shooting chakra through their feet.

Sperglords will tell you "it's to reduce drag" but that doesn't make any goddamn sense since the energy conserved by moving your arms like a normal goddamn person who knpws how to run is far greater than the energy you would conserve by reducing a small amount of "drag".
User avatar #94 - LloydIrving (04/15/2014) [-]
To be fair, reducing drag would help in going faster, not just consuming less energy.

Though I still don't know why they run like that though, I imagine it's to make themselves less of a target for projectiles coming in from the front, though I just came up with that explaination in 10 seconds.
User avatar #187 - comexx (04/15/2014) [-]
Well I always thought that it was to grab their weapons faster, but I just wanted to see the real reason.
User avatar #258 - LloydIrving (04/16/2014) [-]

The same reason why Sonic, in this case Fox, and many other cartoon characters do it--because it's supposed to look cool.
User avatar #83 - leonhardt (04/15/2014) [-]
Sonic was originally supposed to run with his arms forward, like superman. A graphical error put his hands behind him.
User avatar #89 - mutzaki (04/15/2014) [-]
Either way, a lot of different characters have adopted it because it looks cooler and it's probably easier to animate.

there was a study by a guy called "Doctor Wakefield" that showed a large collaration between children being vaccinated, and children being diagnosed with autism.

i don't think he directly said that one caused the other, but you know how the media gets...

and to be fair, early vaccines contained all sorts of shit, like mercury.

anyway, media hounds assumed that collaration = causation, instead of realizing that more people were being diagnosed because awareness of autism was rising.

yeah, i did some research, As someone "on the spectrum" i really had to.

that said, if someone offered me a "vaccine against autism" then i'd KNOW they were full of shit, because autism isn't a virus, so it can't be vaccinated against.

User avatar #297 - nustix (04/10/2014) [-]
I thought the research went something like this:
So yeah who is vaccinated: Most people
Who is not: Insanely religious people

Who has the most people with autism:
The vaccinated people because they contain the people who are most likely to have autism, because the groups it exists of. And the religious people might not even be bothered to diagnose autism.

Conclusion: vaccination causes autism.
#321 - iamnuff (04/10/2014) [-]
nothing to do with religion.
User avatar #347 - nustix (04/12/2014) [-]

#352 - iamnuff (04/12/2014) [-]

User avatar #354 - nustix (04/13/2014) [-]
Well, where I live you have this place called the bible belt and most people who live there are orthodox protestant. They don't take vaccines because they believe it's gods will if they get sick. I'm not sure how it's there over in the americas but I'm pretty sure you have similar groups.
#355 - iamnuff (04/13/2014) [-]
those aren't the anti vaccine people though, those are just the retarded "anti-medicine" people.

they don't care about the risk of autism, because god would surely protect them from that too, right?

the "vacciens cause autism" people are usually mothers who had their children vaccinated, then shortly afterwards the child was diagnosed with a learning disorder, or ADHD or something, then saw on the news about how vaccines cause autism, then instantly fell for it. (or the friends of someone who's child has a learning disorder, ect ect)

I was one of those children.

for years my mother was sure that I was made dyslexic by the MMR jab.

it is strange though, because i was reading at an advanced level (for a child) when i was younger, then a couple of years later, i had to go into special classes to totally relearn how to read and write, because I "forgot"

I can see why she'd blame the jab, even if there's little evidence for it, because there's even less for anything else, and I obviously wasn't born like this.
User avatar #356 - nustix (04/13/2014) [-]
Yeah, but the vaccine causes autism thing had to come from somewhere. And because the research took place before the statement autism is caused by vaccines I guessed they tested it on another anti-vaccine group which is the believers.
#357 - iamnuff (04/13/2014) [-]
nah, the ones who believe it can cause autism are the ones who beleive in science but are misinformed,

people who don't care for science or medicine at all would be the one's who refuse to take them because they think the devil made them, or some shit.
