Good writers deserve thumbs. And I'm with you on how great lovecraft's story was.

People think I'm a good writer?
that's really awesome
a little surprising, but awesome
and yeah, Lovecraft is one hell of an author. All of his stories make me feel like I'm in the shoes of a person struggling to use their knowledge of the world to grasp concepts and events far beyond anything we could possibly understand. He never illustrates the monsters or things like the "colour out of space" as just magic, but rather incredibly ancient and alien phenomena. Leaves me with that cool existential "we're just a small blip in the history of a massive universe" feeling that I don't get from other horror writers.

You should check out a little novella called "The Great God Pan." I think it helped inspire Lovecraft, along with "The King In Yellow."

Yeah, I have some really blue eyes. A lot of times in person people will comment on them, and ask if I'm wearing contacts. I think it's mostly the way they catch the light.

Thanks. There's a real downside to them, though - photosensitivity is a bitch, and I'm too stubborn/hate the feeling of glasses to wear sunglasses. Or glasses.
