Canadian. Can't vote for anyone American.

No bro. That's not how providing information works like. why do you want to put the burden on readers, if it is your responsibility as the content provider to do so?

imagine that I made a video commentary, analyzing what someone else said in their video, and you want to make your own observation of the video I'm analyzing, but I didn't provide it with the source. You'd ask me for it, but then I would tell you not to be a cancer and just type it on the search bar, since the first sentence the person made is close to the title of the video. How professional would that be?

Look at the last 6 words "unless you cannot find it yourself" which signify you did not fully read what I wrote.
The difference between your example and this situation is you took zero 0 effort into finding the source of a news article that interested you. That is different than searching for 20 minutes and realizing that it is difficult to find the source.

Do you tell everybody to "just google it" whenever they ask you back up your claims? I honestly think so.

If it is a clip from a movie, a tv show, or of porn you should be able to ask for source without getting shit on.
If the title is literally in the content, you don't have to be a cancer that begs for source unless you cannot find it yourself.

I'm not 100% sure but it seems pretty similar in concept to "Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade" or Kerberos Panzer Cop. The dude's stahlhelm brainbucket and the red riding hood chick make me think so atleast.
