I was working that day and had to take a shit. I went to the bathroom and did my business, only to find that there was no toilet paper when I finished. I called their phone countless times to receive some assistance for this problem, but the phone decided to crap out on us that day, so no one could hear it. I was literally stuck on the can for a half hour before someone happened to be close enough to the phone to hear it. Oh Hell has no fury like a man who has been stuck in a Taco Bell bathroom for a half hour.

If we split hairs, we can say China is an Economic super power, while the US is a nearly universal super power.

Their influence is still widely felt though. They have some political pull with the US (especially considering out debt). They hold N. Korea's leash, they produce most american products.

However, I must say, no one has as much cultural influence as the US, partially because of our cocksure nature.

I would certainly agree with the last part but they have less pull then you would think. The U.S. is on the verge of a manufacturing renaissance. We already make 20.4% of the worlds goods whereas China only makes 20.9%. One thing China will never have is cultural influence. People will simply never want to be like the Chinese whereas American culture is considered the norm globally. The fact that English is the lingua franca also goes to show the influence of the U.S. vs that of China.

I guess it comes down to your definition of super power.
