That looks like handstitching, am I correct?

Yeah, I was only able to use a machine for the basic attachments. All the finishing stitches were hand sewn.

Well I must commend you for that, hand finishing seams is a nightmare, what i would recommend is to put a row of stiching, and then another row directly adjacent to it. The second row, make the stitches really short, and make a lot of them. Generally speaking the smaller and more frequent the stitches are, the stronger the seam. It will be time consuming, but it should help keep it strong. If you have access to a sewing machine, I would recommend what's called double topstitching (you can google it). If you need any more help let me know, and I'd be happy to help.

Is there a method better than attaching a long strand of thread to a needle and pulling everything through with each individual stitch? Because in doing this the thread sometimes knots up when I'm pulling it all through. This shouldn't be much of a problem with the collar here because it's so short in , but going down the length of the cloak was a nightmare.

The two pieces of advice I have are to make sure you're doubling the string (put the length of string through the needle, pull it so that the two ends meet, then knotting the ends), and to use a number of short lengths rather than 1 or 2 longer pieces. Otherwise, when you're pulling the stitch tight, put your finger under it and pull up to hold it taught so it won't knot up. Best of luck

Can you get a picture of it? A scrunch could mean any number of things.

Pardon the webcam photography.

I stitched the bottom of the hood near the collar to make it scrunch up ever so slightly, but it's so vulnerable.

Didn't go as well as I'd hoped. But did better than expected. Lost my first two rounds, one the third, and then lost my final round.
I came 21st out of 30-ish people, and won a new deckbox.

I guess it's cool in casual - it's just I'm interested in getting into FNM so I have to make sure that my cards are only modern for tonight.
The guy at the place said that if someone does accidentally play a card that's against the rules, they'll just let them play it as a land of whatever colour it is; but then you get some people who are dicks.

He was telling me about how in official matches with Morphs, you need to reveal what was under the Morph card at the end of the match - otherwise you are disqualified; and that for the most part the actual people who judge the event might not care, the opponent who lost might be a complete twat, and take your forgetting to show your Morph card and shout "ref! ref! he didn't show his Morph, he's disqualified!"

I had a guy during a pre-release go around trying to figure out if his Dash card still goes back to his hand if it dies in combat. Some people are dumb, but I haven't dealt with any jerks. I usually tell them up front that I'm new and never play official games like this and they are always nice about it.

Wish I had time to get Tromokratis before tonight. I think tonight is the only modern night for a couple weeks and neither of them are block legal, and Pacifism isn't even standard legal

I generally play blue/green right now - but I have white cards that would make a decent blue/white deck.

Then it's up to you to take that initiative and become better friends. Just find something you and your friend would enjoy and suggest it. In time I'm sure they'll appreciate your company more and more.

My best friend and I met at the bus stop I was incredibly awkward trying to find something to talk about and eventually our friendship progressed from where we just talked there and on the bus to what it is today. Now 8 years later, we're pretty much brothers, he's in the Marines living on the other side of the country but we still hang out whenever he comes back. If you make some close friends it won't matter what separates you.

There are some fun things to do with blue decks that are just basically the ultimate dick move cards, and I kind of love it.
I specifically bought 'Turn Into Frog' because I wanted to be an arsehole. But I'm looking to get Polymorphist's Jest - seeing as it's just 10x better than Turn Into Frog because it turns all of the opponent's creatures into 1/1 frogs (only for 1 turn, but it's pretty decent if you want to block but your creature is too weak
Also just as a way to stave off death - because he could have two creatures attacking with 4 strength each, and you have 8 life; so turning them into 1/1 only deals you 2 damage. Then you can probably also block with a creature if it's got 2 strength - then you only receive 1 damage.
It just seems like an awesome as fuck card.

Tromokatis- Can't be blocked unless all your opponents creatures block it.
Pacisism- Enchanted creature can't attack or block.

Enchant one of their creatures, they can't block with it, making Tromokratis unblockable.

Consider who your friends are. I had probably well over 200 people I could call friends when I was in high school but the friends truly I care about and that care about me I can count on one hand. If it really bothers you try checking with them sometime. Never know they may be just as bored as you in between the hang outs and maybe they'd never considered if you wanted to hang out because they figured you were busy or something?

I never really had any friends growing up, a few aquaintances throughout the years because I was likeable. But I didn't ever go to anyone's house or have anyone over mine. Now that I met such awesome people in college it makes me wonder how long they are going to last before the year ends and I leave everyone's life.
