My guy doesn't like dances either. In fact, none of the nice guys I've known have.

However, prom is about more than the dancing. Or, it was for me. My prom night was pretty magical. I felt really special, even though it wasn't perfect. Didn't do much dancing, more just being silly with friends and taking pictures. I also bought my dress from goodwill for $20, and it was gorgeous.

I enjoy dances myself but that may be because I can actually dance. A lot of guys just don't like dances cause they don't know how and think they will look foolish. At least thats my experience.

I like dances, too, and I'm pretty good at it.

I do feel like that's not the best thing to do in public though.

And now that I'm in college everyone at dances are drunk and/or high so....it's not much fun.

Trust me, they like grinding and twerking and what not but maybe they just didn't want to feel like their girl's a slut who'd do that.

I've been to dances and "danced" with girls, but I'd never do that with my girlfriend. I dunno, it just feels she's a whore, which is fine for a one night stand, but not for a relationship.

This is all a subjective stand point, might not be the same for them.

I went twice. First time was super hella boring, second time my gf got sick so we only went for like 15 minutes. It was nice.

Alright, personally I'm for most of the things that you said, but you can't just say that you should let people do what they want as long as it doesn't hurt you. I know this is hyperbole, but the same idea could apply to, say, heroin. You could just let people inject themselves as long as they did it in a way that wouldn't hurt others, but you still shouldn't. because the government has to protect the people. including protecting them from themselves.

There are both temporary and permanent effects on your brain and lungs and stuff. Nothing disastrous, alcohol is much worse for you.

Legal age should be the same as light alcohol in every country. In germany that'd be 16.
Most stoners are actually fine people, there's some assholes but you can't go without those. Most stoners even offered me to toke with them even when they didn't even know me and it was all their weed and work on that blunt. I like that aspect of the culture.

I agree, but the legal age should be 19. That's just after high school and before college. I hate the taste and smell of regular cigarettes, but people can do what they want.
