I'll be damned! I guess that's just how things go sometimes then....

Funny thing actually... Im terrified of guns. Hoplophobia I think? Some people would say that its an irrational fear, but whatever.
I don't mean like in a gif or on TV, but like being around one will make me freeze up. I start to panic. Airsoft guns make me nervous. I think its a combination of the thought of extreme fast death coming out the end of it + the sound it makes.
Boyfriend went hunting and I avoided him for three days.
I couldn't ever hold one, let alone use one. I would probably end up shooting myself in the leg. I've had nightmares, too.

TL;DR scared of guns.

Alright. Now i won't really call you irrational, i'd instead argue that if it's an actual phobia then it's programmed into your brain and fully rational. My questions for you are instead:

Nerf gun?
Water Gun?

Is it anything that is even figuratively a gun? or is it more the actual projectile and noise that worries you?

More of projectile and noise that gets me on edge. Im 'okay' with airsoft, they make me a little anxious at first. Hearing gunshots is the worst thing to me.

Its weird, I just stop whatever I'm doing and panic. I wont go near one laying about, nor would I be comfortable sleeping if there was one near my bed.

Waterguns and nerf guns aren't in the least bit scary.

See! Nice and rational! Honestly, even with airsoft guns there are a lot of permanent injuries and such that have occurred. In avoiding them altogether, you preemptively are working to avoid the conflict. I suppose if i were you i'd work to know a tad about gun safety, just so if you see someone doing something horribly stupid you can act intelligently to get away from em (example: the gif above) but beyond that, I see no problems with your way of thinking!

Well as far as those three quotes go, yeah, it won't get up and shoot you, and yeah it's harmless on it's own, and if you didn't already have a fear, maybe learning would help...

But in the end, guns are weapons, to not have a bit of fear is ridiculous. Fear is a defense mechanism, keeps ya alert!

I was just going to say that because I was tired and angry, then felt bad for being mean to a stranger on the internet.
A man and a man or a woman and a woman can be fine parents (Some can be terrible, like the ones in the story who made their son a woman.)

But hey, a man and a woman can screw up just as bad.
The worst thing I think is a kid with one parent... they get half the attention and only half the parental input. Some people are put in that situation by like, one parent dies or something, and that can't be helped. I'm just talking mostly about women who say "I DON'T NEED NO MAN TO RAISE MA BABY."
