I ve read most of your posts and agree with mostly everything you say,but in my opinion, casual gaming in counter strike is any rank silver 1 to low elo DMGs.If you really wanna "go pro" with the system in place your pretty have to play community competitive,I.E. ESEA.I ranked to DMG after 5 wins and top scoring at MGE and then spent around 3 weeks at DMG,and at that rank, you have to win at least 8 games in a row top fragging. And the more ELO you get the harder it is,I got LE for 2 days, then dropped back down to DMG after getting shit on by one 5 queue and then the other was because of just better players. After i dropped to DMG,i got a week esea trial.Played all week, and it was really fun.I didnt do amazing, but for most of the time your teammates are good and want to get better, and if you fuck up they will notice and tell you.At that point, dont rage and call them idiots, listen to their advice(If they're a good player),see what you can do differently and move on.if someones an asshole, mute them.If someone fucks up and you lose a round you shouldnt have, dont rage at them.I have just over 9 RWS and barely play MM anymore.Rank doesnt matter in ESEA,skill does.Honestly there really isnt a great alternative to esea, sure theres CEVO and FaceIt but those places are terrible IMO.

TL;DR if you want to play seriously get high level DMG/LE play ESEA dont rage

woah woah, a high rank player giving honest tips and giving legitimate thought process which clearly shows he's ahead of the pack without any condescending tone?

Well fuck me, that's a first in the CS:GO community. Thank you for being a respectable person. And I have been thinking about HS lobbies. Do they really help that much?
User avatar #60 - clannadqs (11 hours ago) [-]
Oh yeah, they help out so much. Not only do they increase your aim, but they increase how fast you react. Most HS lobbies have 24 people on one map and it's FFA. So you are literally scanning left and right so fast that you naturally get better when the game slows down. It really helps you with your aim, but it helps you out much more with fighting more than one target. Really helps with teaching you how to turn a 2v1 into a 1v1 by positioning yourself properly which is a huge part of the game. Most people below MG don't even try to do this or don't know about it. If you are being pushed and you know there is two of them, try to make it a 1v1. Negate one of the players from seeing you while you go after the other.

Casual is polluted by DMGs trying hard to get the praise of silvers as well. So your logic is basically this:

You don't learn the game overnight.
Being good at games like dota and cs take a LOT of time to learn the little tricks and nuances, casual players will never be legitimately good.
I have 5000 hours over 1.6/css/csgo and I'm not even that good and still learn new things from watching pro games and matchmaking.
User avatar #45 - clannadqs (19 hours ago) [-]
And once again you prove my point. They don't want to improve or literally can't due to some law of "They suck ass at gaming". Let them have their fun in a skill bracket made for them. Smurfing just ruins it for them and I actually got worse playing on my alt while trying to level up because I picked up bad habits that carried over to higher ranked matches. It's bad for both sides.

Most good players would disagree with what you said, and going back to how you keep saying things like
"Well THE PLAYERS ON THOSE RANKS WONT PICK UUUU-"
Exactly.
That is exactly why they are in silver.
It's a hard game, you aren't spoon fed everything.. go play call of duty if you don't like it.
Official matchmaking is a joke anyways, if you really hate smurfs so bad and want to stay silver 3 forever go play casual or find people on cevo.
User avatar #43 - clannadqs (19 hours ago) [-]
Well, what you just said proves exactly what I'm trying to say. I'm saying they will never learn from playing against that smurf in that moment. After a player invests a huge amount of time in headshot lobbies, 1v1 lobbies, and reading up on strats and watchin demos they will finally understand what the smurfs are doing, but by this time they are more than likely going to be in a higher skill bracket. Them playing against smurfs literally did nothing for them other than making the game unenjoyable and hurt their ELO when they maybe would have been ranked up if they didn't have to play smurfs. You have to realize that a large portion of the game/gamers in general are casual gamers and they are quickly deterred by getting anally thrashed by someone who belongs in a different skill bracket and then that kid starts trash talking them. You might be saying "lol, let them leave da game den cuz dey cazuals" but they are supporting LAN tournaments, new features to the game, valve updating it, etc. By your logic a high school football team would improve by playing an NFL team. Also, your entire ad hominem at the end is void because I literally posted a photo that showed my rank and how I'm more than likely DMG by the end of tomorrow.

User avatar #41 - clannadqs (19 hours ago) [-]
Is that your only rebuttal? Go watch 3kliksphilip then if you want to play this game. They are ruining an established ranking system no matter how you look at it. Also, casual gamers that might belong in nova two are ending up in silver 4 because of LEs coming down and smashing them. This deters them from playing because the LE has been sitting in headshot lobbies for months while they hop between games and just play for fun. It's viewed as an aids thing to do by every community that has the problem (DOTA, League, CS, etc). Once more, a player below MG is more than likely never going to pick up on what the smurf is doing to counter them. They just don't have the knowledge of the game. Once more, I have learned nothing from playing against a smurf other than not to go where he was. People need to learn by watching demo breakdowns and professional matches. Hell, the recent video by Netcodeguides ,where Dazed was trashing Shazam, helped me a shit ton. I have hardly learned anything impactful on how I play the game while actually playing the game, if that makes sense. Basically, I gain better game sense by playing, I get better aim, etc, but I will never learn which way I should be looking as the second or third guy on a mirage B take, or what to do if it's a 2v3 (where to go, how to play with my partner, etc). That all comes from watching professionals or higher ranked teams playing (ESEA matches, CEVO matches, etc) where they are actually coordinated. If you actually think someone will learn how to play the game better from watching a single person play then you are delusional. I can promise you a nova 4 caliber player can easily be DMG from simply playing with the same people for a few weeks and getting better at playing as a team.

Kind of gay as I didn't believe I would be posting here that much. I just chose a name I could remember if I needed to log in and it just happened to be my Xbox Live gamertag which is Clannad Qs (I was a ranked 1v1er back in the day).
