huh, you merely expressed X in Y, that's no concrete answer... there is no "real answer" but an imaginary one exists according to my calculations, see #15

Raising to a 1/2 power is a silly way to do things.

here take this.
#42 - thetarget (02/02/2015) [-]
Raising to 1/2 is the same as taking the square root. Not silly at all.

It was after a foul or timeout was called. There was no play active. He was just fucking around.

goal tending is where you put your hand over the net making it impossible for the ball to go in
this dude was infront of the net making it a legal play

You can not block a shot if it is past the peak of its arc.

I don't watch so, how close to the peak is allowed or are they really strict? It seems he blocked it like a half second after it hit peak.

Really strict on it. The majority of the time it is impossible for them to block it at the peak because the shot it too high, obviously but the ball has to touch the rim or backboard and bounce away before they're allowed to touch it.

Ball was dropping, therefore he interfered with the end result therefore GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOALtending.

yeah but the ball wasnt entirely over the net
chances are it would have hit the rim and bounced away

are you trolling or just really don't know the rules? goaltending is defined as blocking the ball when it's already at it's dropping point in the arc of the shot. it'd also be goaltending to block it while it's already on the rim or falling in but that's not usually the case.

Or are you actually implying automated fights are better than using skill?
