Doesn't really matter, when you consider just how many other species do it. Can't really change attraction, and why force something that's not really there, by trying to correct gay people, and make them straight? By doing that, you're basically telling us that we can't be happy with someone we actually care about

Jack Nicholson was in the U.S. Air National Guard. For the most part, you are correct, he was a service member.

As a vet, my I just state that we see it as such:
Army: soldier
Marine: marine
Navy: sailor/seaman
Air Force: Airman

A service member of any branch is a service member nonetheless. I just thought I'd bring up a little tidbit for ya.

Normal ETS, AR 635-200 Chapter 4. Completion of contract. I had 3 years to serve and apparently that didn't include my training... which was 6 months.
User avatar #72 - fadetometallica (02/15/2014) [-]
Army has three year enlistments? That's interesting. Shortest Air Force enlistment is four years. but it does count technical training.
User avatar #74 - switchblayde (02/15/2014) [-]
When I joined in 2008, they had 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 year enlistments. They were desperate for bodies, so they gave those options.

Liar test right now, what was your MOS?
User avatar #92 - switchblayde (02/16/2014) [-]
Jesus Christ, another one of these people? *sigh*

I was a 91K, Armament Repairer. I worked on replacing parts for the M1 series Abrams tanks. The MOS also qualified me for the M109A6 Paladin and the M3A3 Bradley IFV until 2010. 91K is set to be integrated with 91A, Abrams system maintainer. Difference? 91A works on hull AND turret. 91K worked on the firing system and target tracking.

Satisfied?

It would depend on the person's actions after amnesia. Would he just murder again? Would he not care? If he were to show me he actually changed, or if I told him what he did and he truly is sorry, then it's not in my area to pass judgement on him. He wants forgiveness and the murderer knows fully well of the actions he did. If the murderer continues on their life not caring and continuing their actions, then no. Death upon them.

You're being good in this lifetime, but because of your last life you're going to be punished.

That's pretty much what you're saying and then you say "It's up to you to keep the good and let the bad go." and then at the beginning you said " the bad that you have made him pass will make his hate grow, and he will spread that hate through the world, eventually coming back to you."

It's pretty much that the hate will always be in the world.

If the murderer of your children has amnesia and doesn't remember what he did, would you forgive him? Kudos if you would, but I highly doubt it.

I said "let the bad go" but I guess it's more like keeping it in your infinite bag of forgiving and letting it wither and die, without it leaking into yourself. The way that works the most for me is thinking I am playing a game of Mindkido. The rules are Understand why someone would say something as negative as what he just said, understand what he was trying to actually say, without any negativeness, and forgive his stupidity for the negativity-ridden message he sent. Try applying what I just said to itself, then to everyone else in the world. I guarantee your happiness. If you don't get that happiness, you didn't apply what I just said and I apologize for not conveying a message properly.

I never said I was a Buddhist, read catburglarpenis explanation. You're right in the fact that Buddhist want to bring and preserve the piece, but you're wrong in the place where the receiver would get punished. I mostly state this because how would you explain the nicest people on Earth getting wrongfully "bad luck" I guess we'll call it and the bad people often have "good luck"?

In other words, why do bad things happen to good people? That is why I don't believe in kharma. There's bad and evil in the world, let's punish the guy that does nothing.
User avatar #60 - churrundo (02/08/2014) [-]
The buddhists explain that with reincarnation, the bad shit that happens to you now is because of what you did in past lives. Since I don't completely believe in it, I personally think the Primordial Dev designed a perfect game, and every test you take is the exact test that you're supposed to take at that precise moment, It's up to you to keep the good and let the bad go.

Don't worry- Siddhartha Ghatama didn't believe in karma either, and he MADE Buddhism. I follow what Siddhartha actually said- a sect of Buddhism called "Bad Buddhism": www.badbuddhistradio.com

I think at this point we may all actually be agreeing with each other for the most part, which would be an internet miracle.
User avatar #61 - churrundo (02/08/2014) [-]
Well, I didn't know that. The little I learned of buddhism was from the Mahayana Buddhists. I guess it's a doctrine that adopted more hindu traditions, like Karma.

Gonna have to go with this guy here on this- I'm a Buddhist myself.

Basically, the customer was already angry and this action just perpetuates it. Now he/she is gonna get angry and beat his/her wife and kids or whatever, and generally be shitty to everyone else, who might take that energy and perpetuate it in their lives. The right thing to do for our species is simply to stamp out that anger with you- ceasing it's cancerous effects on the world.

So I support churrundo, not confusedasian. Who's right and who's wrong? Who's to say?
