Oh wow, an SJW apologist with the moral high-ground. The whole concept of SJW is retarded. It's not entirely safe here, you should go back to Tumblr before you get triggered.

Holy shit, you're a faggot! Grow some testicles, take some responsibility for your life, and stop letting other people define you.

It's not fear, poor word choice. In spanish it's called pena ajena. It's when you think "Fuck, it would be very embarrassing to be that person" so it makes you try not to have anything to do with that person. In Tumblr's case, the way I have seen it from funnyjunk in eight years, they started with good intentions, but they let themselves be overrun by the shitty people: feminazis, extremist vegans, brandishing flags of social justice, you know the type. They celebrated them and let them get to influential positions as opinion shapers where they were able to shape the overall tumblr psychosphere (hell yeah true detective) to their will. That is how I have perceived the shitty side of tumblr to gestate and be born. Don't really get what you think I was implying. Cultural appropriation is a problem, awareness is it's solution. Sexism is a problem, awareness is it's solution. People not knowing that gender is not binary (or that it is indepentent of your biological sex, which is binary) is a problem, and awareness is it's solution. All those tumblr movements attempt to raise awareness because they feel like better people doing it, but because they are shitty, narcissistic assholes who just want to be morally better to everyone, it turns into a competition of political correctness (tumblr's social capital). So, they will start making up problems where none were and claiming that they are raising awareness. There is a difference between having a moral high ground and wanting people below you to rise up to it (which requires you to know you have the high ground), and having no fucking idea on where you stand but thinking you're on top because you know something someone doesn't: "Hey you! That's offensive! Am I a good SJW now, dear followers? Are we one step closer to winning the Social Justice War?".

These are my subjective opinions based on empirical evidence about SJW's, but it's separate from my understanding of other issues like sexism, cultural appropriation and gender identity. Real issues that tumblrinas use as moral fat scooters to take them effortlessly to the top of the moral hierarchy.

Tumblrisms: Cultural Appropriation Cultural appropriation again!? Holy faggots, batman! If someone borrows something from your culture, it's a fucking compliment, and undeserved for most of you.

It's hypocritical to, for example, say cinco de mayo is to celebrate mexicans, while calling them wetbacks and wanting them off the country. The defenders of the redskins name say they want to honor indians, but indians never chose that name. Imagine you're the class nerd and you get called a name you hate. Maybe you actually are in real life. But then imagine that the class makes a caricature of you and sells comic strips of that representation of you and it's name is the one you got called. Also they make a lot of money and you can't get none of it. They say it's to celebrate you, but it's just to have in their eyes enough good karma to be shitty with you. They are not laughing with you. You don't find it funny. Do they have the right to define your person (culture, in the real life example)? Tough shit. They make money off it. They have more reach than you. Every person you meet will know about you through that representation. You will eventually die and whatever you wanted the world to remember you for, tough shit: you'll be remembered as Mr Boogerfarts or whatever.

Unless the assholes who are doing it were to understand that they are being assholes the problem can't stop, which is what tumblr attempts, but in their extremism and idealism they make the internet community afraid of agreeing with them, and they end up running away from terms like "cultural appropriation" "gender identity" and well, the most understandable "feminism".

Shitty people who want to have a reason to say that someone is wrong (or offensive, or oppressive, but essentially "morally below me") twist and bend those concepts to achieve it.

Yeah I know cultural appropriation is a thing, you were right, I was talking about the hijacked "version" Tumblr uses, I should've made that clearer.
