Im giving you a thumb soley because the m8 thumbing you down was rude.

Personally i try to steer clear with thinking about spiritual shit because then i get way to deep in conversations about life.

BTW, Heaven and Hell are (in my humble interpretation of my experiences) states of harmony and chaos of the mind, respectively.

i have enough experience with people who took psychedelics.
cant really say those people were good people, most had a distorted view of reality and followed pseudo-metaphysical thoughts while in reality all that mattered to them was the high.

yeah... psychedelics... because so many people on lsd seem to be 'good people'
User avatar #97 - churrundo (01/13/2015) [-]
Maybe not while they're on it (and just because you are not taking into account the post visual, emotional effects of the high), but lsd's mid to long term effects are very positive. It helps to treat very hard addictions, it gives a notion of purpose in life, it makes affective relationships stronger, among other things. Those are many of the roles of religion but these drugs have shown to be as effective as religion claims itself to be...

I'd like it if you heard some of Terence Mackenna's work.

There is an extremist Buddhist sect in....Burma is it? Could be Thailand either. Violent as fuck.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism_and_violence#Myanmar

Its only Wiki, but it's something.
User avatar #74 - churrundo (01/12/2015) [-]
Noted. We'd have to know if those people have actually experienced enlightenment to claim them as actual buddhists, but it's not something that can be proved, so let's give it to them. It's still a question of creating these metaphoric barriers called religions which can isolate ourselves from each other. I for one believe that humanity has a need for spirituality and psychedelics are the way to bring it to our industrialized society.
