i say it before but why the hate for home maker
#33 - endospore (08/08/2014) [-]
Because it takes no skill, training or education. You literally cannot survive on your own as a homemaker since you need a significant other to support you with income. And in the event you DO lose your SO and need a job, you have a huge blank spot on your resume that employers hate. Slightly related note: This is the reason that divorce cases side with the woman so often.

Don't get me wrong, I love my (stay at home) mom and if I can afford it, I would love for my wife to be a homemaker. They're useful and wonderful from a personal perspective, especially if you want children.

It's also incredibly important for the next generation to, you know, know one of their parents. The fact that it's so negatively viewed pisses me off. In my opinion it's a hell of a lot better than just sticking your neglected kids with a nanny who barely speaks English.

Most feminists don't believe the bs that's always floating around this site.
Also most women in the world are not considered equal to the men in their society
Most men I talk to in Canada do not seem to consider women equal to men I am a man, they would no say this to a woman
Other than for attractive women attractive men have advantages too , it is harder for women to move upwards in a business environment
So is it bitterness or ignorance?

I call bullshit. People are rewarded if they can compete with others and beat them (this is how it works out in our society, as simple as that).

If you fail at what you do, you won't get promoted.
If I was in a leading position, I wouldn't give two fucks on the person's gender as long as he/she does a proper job - I highly doubt someone's (not) being promoted because of his/her gender - maybe for skills and achievements, yes.

Maybe on certain fields where you need physical strength, yes, this is where I would imagine a man having better employment chances then women, but then again, not many women would want to have a job like that anyway.

You have a very simplistic understanding of how our society actually works, and it certainly is not that simple.
You may not be sexist, and it sounds like you aren't at all, but the 50 year old guy making promotion decisions at your company might be. Not to mention implicit biases against women It's an interesting field if you want to look into it

Most innovators are men. So instead of bitching how about you women start innovating and creating business'
More men become innovators, therefore more men get experience.

I am a man.
And I could reply with a bunch of stuff about how history is written by men and women weren't even considered people until the early 1900's but I've got a better idea.
Do you think women are equal to men? Do you think a women should be able to do anything a man can, and will you refrain from judgement until you see her performance.

If you wonna bring up history, ill quite frankly just say that that is evidence that the woman are the weaker gender seeing as they have let themselves be repressed. So if we are gonna look at it black and white so be it.

Yes i consider women equal in a general sense. Some things women are better at, and some things men are better at. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. But right now i have a female boss, and i have never looked down at her for being a woman, quite frankly she is one of the best bosses i have had.

I don't know what kind of background you have, but i am a trainee for one of the worlds biggest shipping companies. So i deal with ALOT of business' on a daily bases with alot of different companies both in Denmark and in Polen. I see ALOT of women in key positions at different companies.

I am not saying any of this to brag but simply to call it how i see it. I have huge clients and small clients, i have yet to be contacted by a one man company lead by a woman. Lots of the big companies have women taking care of logistics and ETC, but not a single one man company i have met has been lead by a woman, not one!
We are living in a world where competition is constantly getting harder and we are getting more and more global, if you are the best for the job you will get the job, doesnt matter if you have a dick or a vagina.

Men are more prono to take risks, therefore more men start their own business'. In general it is also more expansive to hire a woman since she will probably have a child and need a good amount of time off for that. Chances are she will also be moody and not as effective a worker during the late stages of her pregnancy. Often the mom will also stay at home the first couple of times the kid is sick. All this adds up.

If women want more power in the business market, they should stop with all these bullshit first world groups for feminism and start some business' and fucking hire women.

I do believe that if some country invaded, Sweden would send the few soldiers we had to defend. Never attack though. But I'm no exoert on the topic.
