A mosquito sucked blood...
I dont know if I should feel insulted or not, Considering Im from Mississippi. Also got those SJWs crying about the confederate flag so Im pissed about that too.
In all seriousness though, why can't you guys just let the confederate flag go? Historically there have been 39 US flags and you don't see anyone flying those off the back of their trucks.
Those flags are different. In the south, We're focused on family, Tradition, To us, The Confederate flag is not just one of the american flags. its not an outdated version of what the whole country stands for. Its a Symbol. Its a Sign of Southern pride. Idiots use it for hatred and Bigotry, Yet instead of punishing them, They punish Every one in the south. Mainly because we're the Go to Stereotype to point at.
The Means something to us. Those SJW's and the bleeding hearts. The fools who have Never even been to the south will tell you that the Confederate flag is a symbol for Hatred. But its much more than that. To us, It is Hope. It is who we are. It is a symbol of where we come from. Our heritage. Our Blood. My ancestors Fought and died in that war. Some of my ancestors were captured by Union soldiers, and put in a prison camp, forced to eat rats because the union were Cruel to my people. General Sherman Burnt down out homes, Burned our crops, His men Raped and killed our women. Have you seen "Gone with the wind?" You know that town that is caught on fire? My ancestor, Lacy B Castleberry was There. He was there in Real Life.
He didint fight because he was a racist. He was not in it for owning slaves. (The union had slaves of their own, and even when they won, it took Forever for Lincoln to finally free the slaves at all.) He fought because The union were destroying our states rights. They tried to take our freedom, But we would not Budge.
That flag isint a Symbol for Racism. It should Never be one, and the Murderer who used it to kill those people in that church, will Burn in Hell for all eternity. That Flag is Pride. It is Glory. It is a symbol. It is a reminder that At one time, The south shook this nation. The Confederacy had some of the greatest American generals who had ever lived. Stonewall Jackson, Jeb Stewart. Nathan Bedford Forrest. And General Robert E Lee. Great minds ahead of their time. Hell, Forrest created strategies that the German General Rommel used, And in turn, Patton used because they were so Brilliant.
So that flag isint just a flag. its not some cloth floating in the wind that we gather around and drink beer, and howl into the night. It is our Blood. It is the Sweat, and Pain that our ancestors suffered through. And though we lost the war, We look at that flag, And we see that the south still has the Fighting spirit it has always had.
I Promise you, That Now and Forever, The south will Never give in without a fight. Because we know that One day, One day perhaps Tomorrow, Perhaps in a hundred years, But one day...The South will Rise again.
Jesus fuck this is why I cant tell people im from Mississippi because of fucktards like you.
Its just a damn flag. It doesnt matter what its definition may be, the general connotation is a bad one. If you want to keep it up in your homes then go ahead. But I think if so many people feel insulted by it, might as well solve the problem and take it down.
Also, the Civil War was like 150 years ago buddy. You knew none of those relative of yours that fought in it. You werent there and it never affected you personally, so stop acting like you got some right to be in pain over it.
Also Forrest was the literal founder of the KKK, so if you think he was a great whatever than you can go fuck yourself.
Its time certain citizens of my state to get their heads out of their asses and try to move towards the future.
and before you even fucking think it yes im white
Nazistick has more then enough valid points. By your reasoning then the Revolutionary War was near 240 years ago and you knew none of those relatives of yours that fought in it. You weren't there and it never affected you personally. You argument can be used very well against you so many times. Forrest was an amazing strategist and that is a talent that should not be taken lightly. He may have done horrible things or started a group that did horrible things but he did do something that many people could stand up and say look how brilliant he was.
Jenisist it is people like you who would rather white wash over your nation or state's history in favor of covering it up then rather take a stance against some of these massively over political correct assholes who think they can dictate what we say, think, wear, or do because it may or may not offend them. The flag is a symbol for them and should be left at that.
BTW both the South and the North both had slaves but only one side of the Dixie line had to get rid of theirs but not the other. Both had horrible prison camps. Both treated each other like shit and did do horrible things to each other. I see the Confederate flag for what its people see which is freedom against the over reaching Federal Government at the time. Lincoln didn't give two shits about slavery or slaves at that time it was a political maneuver that he used to gain presidency and he knew he had to follow through on his promise to get rid of the slaves in the South.
Look I dont have anything against the flag, and I love my home. I dont understand what you mean by saying my reasoning can be used against my argument many times over, because the only thing Im saying is that its time to stop throwing a hiss fit over something you were never involved in just because where you come from/ what your ancestors did/ etc.
I dont see the flag as offensive. But I can see how some other people can find it offensive. Either way, if you rather argue to keep a piece of fabric up on a pole rather than attempt to end the social problems America has, well then that just says a lot about you.
And I'm sure the entire country along with every other country in the world had a system of slavery going on the time, I never said that it wasnt true. I know the War was more than just about slavery, so stop trying to assume what I think to be true.
The bottom line is that history is history. So instead of having a stick up our asses and taking insult that people dont like the flag that we think represents all our ancestors lost, we can accept what happen and move on. The south is never going to rise again because theres no need to. We are one country and maybe some people should start acting like it.
Damn, Im not even in the United States at this time and I cant escape this bullshit.
The argument that you used such since you were not involved in x then it does not affect you or you do not know the ancestor involved in x that it did not affect you personally. That in itself is a fallacy. I come from a long line of military family. Every war my family has been in is something that I take pride in and understand the amount of respect I have to my ancestors. So when someone tells me that x does not affect you because you do not know the person involved is like taking a shit on my family history. Granted my family fought for the Union but I respect anybody who lost a relative in the war regardless of side.
Now you are making assumptions here with the comment " Either way, if you rather argue to keep a piece of fabric up on a pole rather than attempt to end the social problems America has, well then that just says a lot about you." I respect the right a person has to fly whatever flag the damn well feel like as long as they fly the US flag higher then the rest as is stated in the course of state and federal government. But for someone to fly it at their house, truck, or where ever they may be on private land they have that right. And how is getting rid of a flag going to be an attempt at social problems. If you have not noticed it is making more social problems then before. Taking down that flag is not solving shit nor will it ever solve shit. Social problems will continue to fucking exist because people would rather focus on the color of the persons skin and getting benefits or using it as an excuse for everything. Until that goes away or is accepted then it will not end.
I never claimed to know what you thought or what you knew in regards to your historical knowledge. But the comment about "Its time certain citizens of my state to get their heads out of their asses and try to move towards the future. " is where my second paragraph is addressing. By that sentence you would rather get rid a piece of history to "move foward" to the future. That is where I am saying white washing history comes in.
You are right the South will never rise again. But I think we need to fight back overly political correctness people because they are slowly controlling what we can say, do, think, wear, or express ourselves fully. So much apologies if you think I was overly attacking you but when you shit on someone's family history I am going to call you on it.
A man with the name "Nazistick" is mad about people complaining about the confederate flag being flown in government buildings.
Can't say I'm surprised.
If I could change my name, I would. I made the account when I was young...and very very Very stupid.
