#381155 - Ability: Hustle Item: something to power it up, like choic…  [+] (7 new replies) 05/05/2013 on Pokemon +1
User avatar #381159 - Vuumbleman (05/05/2013) [-]
Yeah, that sounds about right to me. I always like Hustle and a move that never misses. Poor Ledian. I was just looking it over. Most of its abilities lean more toward an offensive set, but its stats don't quite back it up. It has access to Swords Dance and Agility, but I'm not so sure it could last long enough to make the set-up viable all on its own. Its base special attack is higher and it does have some special moves, but it doesn't seem able to boost them all on its own. I'm leaning toward a possible Dual Screen set with U-Turn and Roost, but we need to come up with something to make it more threatening as an individual.
User avatar #381177 - chthulhu (05/05/2013) [-]
Pair it with venomoth, and it can kick ass after a quiverpass combo. My nidoking's fucking brutal with that, so I'm sure it'll work for Ledian

Aye. Nidoking is my favorite Ground type.

Also, I looked at who all gets Anger Point and who gets Frost Breath and I saw that maybe Cryogonal (with Levitate) might could work with Camerupt (with Anger Point). If the Camerupt can survive long enough he could earthquake lots of stuff to oblivion. Just thought I'd mention it.

I wish other Christians, assuming the Westboro fools can still be called such, would actually read their Bibles. We're supposed to be messangers of God, aids to a community, and just all around good people. We aren't supposed to judge people, that's God's job. God doesn't hate sinners, he hates sin. It just gives the rest of us a bad name.
User avatar #379708 - chthulhu (05/03/2013) [-]
I know right? I'm pretty sure "love thy neighbour" is more important than some subtext that could possibly be interrpretted as "go yell at people you don't like".

Granted the intent is very different but the planned action that you wish to carry out does not make you any better. Getting people to call them and bitch really will not do any good. Do you really think Jeff Hanneman really wants people to call the wbc and defend him or have the same people show up to his funeral in support of his life and what he did in his lifetime.

I like my Mega Venusaur "Jumanji." I'm enjoying my new Dusknoir "Shinigami." I like Malamar "Mal'kheshar." I'm still debating other dudes. Calm Mind is nice on Carbink. I love Delphox. Sleep Talk on a Guts Flareon is pretty sweet. The new crit ratios make a Sniper Kingdra with Focus Energy and Draco Meteor really tempting. I've somewhat grown fond of how weird Kecleon looks (sporting Protean of course). Tyrantrum is an awesome dinosaur (I wish his Hidden Ability were available). Narrowing down my choices is tough. Narrowing them down to Pokemon I like can be even tougher.

On another note, Frozen is surprisingly good. I recommend going to see it.

I know! Since i'm grabbing Chespin, using the Torchic, and I used Charizard on my last Leafgreen run and I used Venusaur on my last White 2 run, I'm going to pick Squirtle to round out the bunch. MegaBlastoise and MegaCharizard look badass! I'm a little disappointed with MegaVenusaur. I think he could have looked cooler with roots around his sides and arms. Like, a ribcage of roots and other roots spiraling around his legs. Just to make him look more distinctive.

So I'm thinking Mega Evolutions are mostly for pokemon that need the stat boosts and just new ability options for pokemon that are already powerful. Some of the recent demo footage of MegaMewtwo using non-STAB, neutral damage moves on his opponents did about as much as I would expect a regular Mewtwo to deal.
