That really does have a ton of similarities, but (I guess I should have mentioned) my film looks like it was made within the past 10-15 years max.

Edit: I remember the ending so spoilers for anyone who blah blah blah... The main female character does not know where to go at the end of the film so she returns to the boat man she has met through out the film only to turn out to be her long lost father.

Well even if you aren't, then let's face it, someone knows the answer. Every time I see someone give a vague explanation of a movie/song, and asks what it is, then people give the right answer. Sure, some give "troll" answers, but amongst those joke answers there is at least one correct answer.

Yea, I've seen such things also. It's quite entertaining. Our knowledge of completely useless information is endless, so we got that going for us.
