Yes, defect. We're talking about genetics here. Anything that makes your chance of reproducing extremely low to the point of being nominal is a pretty big problem for your genome.

Were it to magically effect the entire population at once the entirety of humanity could likely end up extinct from it. I think that's a pretty good definition of something genetic being a "defect".

Granted, just because someone has a genetic defect doesn't mean they're bad and don't deserve just as much respect as anyone else. They're still human. Just like I wouldn't treat anyone born sterile badly in any way, I wouldn't treat anyone born asexual badly in any way. They have the same rights as me as a human. But that doesn't mean I can't recognize the genetic condition as a defect.

You have to look at a bigger picture. If you let a population frow too big, it will come crashing down. Homosexuals and asexuals could be a result keeping numbers in check. It's not about producing as much offspring as possible; you have to be able to take care of them too.

I've gotten far better now but it's been tough to stop doing it completely. I struggle with just doing it only once a week. For a long time I did it an average of one or more times per-day in a week.

I'm pretty sure it made my depression worse (dopamine release chemical stuff; using it as a "pick me up"). I began to need to masturbate in order to feel normal. I've wasted up to four hours of a day trying to continuously get it off even.

I'm no longer depressed despite never seeking professional help or taking medication (that is a long story for another time) and I no longer masturbate nearly as much as I used to. Now it's more of a bad habit that I need to keep trying to ween myself off of. I would say that the first step to fixing a problem is identifying the problem.

More awkward than anything, not being attracted to people mean it's a lot harder to maintain or even get a boner. Also makes it hard to know which gender you even want to date. Masterbating is just less stressful tbh. non-virgin asexual
