Doing pretty well actually. It's been a busy year. How about yourself?

Our school musical ended this past Sunday, and closing ceremonies were emotional as usual. But as a plus, I made a bunch of new friends that I'll keep in touch with!
And how's your play coming along? The one where you're the villain?

The year's nearly out, dude. Only a few more weeks to go until we're both free from the pressures of high school education. Counting down the days till graduation yet? Also, that sounds fantastic! Knowing your abilities, I'm sure you swept them away.

And believe it or not, we STILL haven't received any materials yet for the spring production. Hell, the date had to be moved back to the 24 of May because the company we ordered from hasn't sent our scripts. The level of incompetence is simply infuriating, but it's not within our power, really. At this point, I'm just hoping we'll get to see them at all before spring break.

Yeah, I'm actually gonna miss my school though. I've had a lot of good times with Drama and all that. I don't know what college I'm going to yet, actually. Maybe my state college, since my mom works there and tuition would be wicked cheap due ot that.

Wow. Thats frustrating, yeah. Our school got the scripts a good time beforehand to study and all that.

Yeah, I'm accepted to most of them (except Brown and Stanford, the two more elite schools I applied to) and I'm just deciding between them.

Eh, who needs lines? I remember half of The 39 Steps was basically improvised when we did it. Including skipping half a monologue because the kid forgot it.

It was a Dreamworks movie, but it didnt have any showtunes in it.

Damn, well, if it's any conciliation, I didn't get into my top school either. After years of dreaming, planning, and practice, it was a no go for me and CalArts.

Ah well. Life goes on.
Where else did you apply to though? And what exactly is your major?

Well, I'd like to just say fuck the script and go on, but I don't think my improvisational skills are that well defined yet. The best I've done was stage an argument with one of the characters about the scene title in order to buy the actors backstage more time. And that was maybe two-three minutes at best. I could definitely improve upon that.

But by damn, that's still is a tricky situation, and I applaud you for being so flexible.

Schools in my area like URI, Salve Regina, Wheaton and Assumption. My major is Biological Sciences, or Biology. It changes at different schools I think.

Yeah, one of the reasons I wouldn't really be a good actor is I kinda freeze under pressure like that, I wouldn't be able to improv well. Luckily, some of the actors at my school are good at covering like that, but I wouldnt want to try it.

Shrek the Musical! Problem is, noone in our drama program matches the... body shape of Shrek. And I didnt like it when I heard it at first, but I'm still teching it cause it'll be my last show I can do.

Well I think yours is the heavier blow, frankly. Mine was but a childhood aspiration, yours. . . some of the top name schools in the country. But even still, that is a very nice roster of schools there, Chris. I'm quite impressed. Congratulations!

I wouldnt say so, actually. I didnt particularly really want to go there, and I know I'm still smart enough. But if you've been wanting this since you were young, I'd say without a doubt that muct be tougher.

Well, its just one of the freshmen (named Ian) but I got to pick him, and I chose him since he seems to be the most receptive and, as other techies have commented, he really seems to like/respect me. At shows we have this thing called "backstage kisses" where you can send a note and some Hershey kisses to someone on the cast, and his family sent me one thanking me for teaching Ian. He's a nice kid, too.

Sounds like he's really taking a liking to you and is obviously quite appreciative of your helpful advice. I'm glad you've managed to find someone you can positively influence like that. And the Drama club will be the better for that.

Yeah, its nice to have someone like that, who looks up to me. I'm also just glad the spot info will be passed down; before I became spot op people passed through the position quickly and didn't stay.

Yup, we did. February 18th was the day. I was... pretty sad for most of that day and the rest of the week, but fortunately I had the week off for vacation so I had some time to more or less get my thoughts together about it and all. She's going out with Tavi now.

Yeah, when I think about it I just tell myself I'm happy that she's happy. And that now I'll have the possibility of dating someone IRL (ha!) even though that would mean me talking to a girl and asking her out, which may happen actually, but I'm not sure about results.

No I don't. I've been off Funnyjunk for a while. I've only recently come back to talk to "friends."

It's a big thing, so prepare yourself.
A week or so ago, she somehow found out that even though she was pregnant with twins before and one died, the other actually survived, still alive in her. She was happy about that for a while even though the docs said theres a 90% chance it wouldnt survive. She got really attached to the baby (understandbly) and named her Zelda, even though she planned to put her up for adoption after birth. Then... well, shit happened. The baby miscarried. And she was, and as far as I know has been, really sad to say the least. She hasn't been on FJ as much.
Also, while the baby was still alive and kicking, she got into Friendly but apparently someone or some people spammed all her posts calling her whore and stuff, so she came back here. Not everyone here is nice either, so thats kinda why she isn't posting as much. And since Tavi has been less available to talk to her because of work recently, she was also kinda sad at that.

I think that's pretty much it.

Sheesh, she just can't catch a break. Though, most of this site's community is full of assholes. If you aren't already, pray for her every day.

I know, I wish I could take some misery on in my life if it would mean she could have it better.

No, I haven't. I'm kinda pretty skinny already so my parents might stop me if I try...

My dad is a pastor and I'm 90 percent certain one of his sermons was on varying degrees of fasting. I'm pretty sure he mentioned that one way of fasting was to skip out on one meal as long as that time was spent in prayer and you don't eat anything until later. You could might pass on lunch at school and go pray somewhere before class is in session again?
